Will Kirk lands new BBC show away from The Repair Shop: ‘I’m thrilled to be part of it’

Will Kirk, 36, will be joining auctioneer Christina Trevanion, 40, in a new 15-part BBC series called The Travelling Auctioneers which will see the duo travel around the UK turning unwanted items into winning lots to sell on in auctions. Ahead of the series launching, Will has expressed his excitement about being involved in “such an exciting” project.

For the upcoming BBC One Daytime programme, the furniture restorer and auction expert will be filmed discovering hidden treasures and transforming neglected items into auction-worthy goods.
A teaser for the show shares: “Sifting through one family home at a time, Will and Christina first need to identify the items that will sell best at a bespoke auction.
“Christina will call on her auctioneer contacts and expertise, whilst Will uses his incredible craft and restoration skills to bring new life to neglected treasures – ready for a thrilling on-site auction.
“Throughout the series, the dynamic duo will arm the British public with all the tricks of the trade, to help viewers across the UK cash in on their unwanted belongings.”

When speaking about his new programme, Will said: “I’m thrilled to be part of such an exciting new project.
“Hopefully, between Christina and I, we can open up the worlds of restoration and auctions to a wider audience and show people some simple tips to get their prized possessions in pristine condition.”
Christina added: “It’s really exciting to be a part of such an innovative new series and working alongside Will.
“Whether it’s a cellar, a barn, a loft, or the back of a cupboard, I’m really looking forward to uncovering the hidden treasures so many of us have in our homes, and giving them a new lease of life – while making the world of auctions and restoration accessible to as many people as possible.”

Will is best known for his phenomenal restoration work on the heartfelt show The Repair Shop.
The programme sees guests bring in treasured family heirlooms that they hope can be restored to their former glory.
Will is the show’s furniture restorer he studied graphic design and antique furniture restoration at the University of the Arts London and London Metropolitan University.
Auctioneer Christina has appeared on a host of BBC programmes such as Bargain Hunt, Antiques Road Trip and Flog It!.

The Travelling Auctioneers is being made by STV Studios and once the show is complete, it will air on BBC One Daytime.
STV Studios’ productions include Celebrity Catchphrase, Antiques Road Trip, and The Yorkshire Auction House.
