Zoey 102: Official trailer
Jamie Lynn’s first shot at stardom, Zoey 101, is 18 years old – and remains a defining series of the era.
Launching in 2005, Zoey 101 was created by the controversial Dan Schneider and starred Britney Spears’ little sister as Zoey Brooks, who starts attending a private boarding school after it starts accepting girls.
The show ran for four seasons and 61 episodes, with Jamie winning the Kids’ Choice Award for Favourite TV Actress in 2006.
Unlike some other shows, where the cast drift apart over the years, it seems the stars of Zoey 101 have remained largely bonded, often commenting on each other’s social media posts.
They even started the live Instagram series, All Things Zoey 101, to chat about their time on the show.

However, things off-screen weren’t so squeaky clean for the group, especially after the show ended.
Jamie Lynn Spears
For years, it was believed Jamie-Lynn’s teenage pregnancy was the reason behind the show ended (prematurely in the eyes of fans) in 2008.
Jamie-Lynn welcomed daughter Maddie in June that year, when she was just 17 and in a relationship with now ex-boyfriend Casey Aldridge.
However, in 2019, while on a trip down memory lane, Jamie-Lynn claimed it was actually down to something more simple – their contract had ended.
Jamie-Lynn, now 29, is happily married to businessman Jamie Watson and they have a daughter named Ivey Joan Watson, born in 2018.
She’s back on TV, having landed a regular role in Netflix’s Sweet Magnolias, and a spot on 2023’s Dancing With The Stars.
She’s currently appearing on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here.

Victoria Justice (Lola Martinez)
Victoria is another big star from the show, and after Zoey 101 ended, she led the cast of her own musical Nickelodeon show Victorious – starring alongside Ariana Grande.
Now 29, she’s still acting today, most recently appearing in TV shows 50 States of Fright and The Real Bros of Simi Valley as well as Netflix’s Afterlife of the Party.
She showed she was all grown up when she played Janet in a TV remake of The Rocky Horror Picture Show and has also released a bunch of Victorious soundtrack singles and albums.
There were rumors that she was in a feud with her former co-star Ariana, but that was put to rest in 2020 when they made it clear there was no bad blood between them.
After they virtually reunited with the cast to celebrate the show’s anniversary, they posted about each other on social media.
Sean Flynn (Chase Matthews)
Sean Flynn, who played Chase Matthews, married his longtime girlfriend Lyndsay in 2022.
He proposed to her after a six-year relationship in 2021.
Sharing photos from their big day on Instagram, Sean simply wrote: “We did it love”.
Sean was also quite the documentarian of the reboot, Zoey 102, sharing plenty of photos and behind the scenes notes to fans on social media.
After Zoey 101, Sean went on to appear in a few TV shows and movies, including The Last of Robin Hood, Devious Maids and The Wrong Boyfriend.
Austin Butler (James Garrett)
Austin Butler has been involved in some big projects since his time as James.

Playing Zoey’s younger brother in Zoey 101, Butcher has since taken on numerous roles, appearing in shows like King of the Hill, The King of Queens, Without A Trace and Criminal Minds.
He also provided the voice for Stanley Pukowski in the animated movie Meet The Robinsons. In addition to acting, Paul has also ventured into singing, releasing some covers before putting out his own songs.
Alexa Nikolas (Nicole Bristow)
The Zoey 101 2020 reunion made headlines when Alexa wasn’t there. She later went on Instagram live to claim she was bullied on set and declared the show a “toxic workplace”.
“It was a really amazing experience getting to know [my character] Nicole, but the experience on set ended up being drastically different than how I felt about Nicole,” she shared.
Despite the tough times on set, she continued her acting career, appearing in shows like Ghost Whisperer, CSI: Miami, Heroes and Zoolander. However, she hasn’t been seen on screen since Mad Men in 2013.
Christopher Massey (Michael Barrett)
After Zoey 101, the starred in Everybody Hates Chris, City Girls and Switched At Birth. Most recently, he appeared in the US sketch show All That.
In 2016, he was arrested in Las Vegas for alleged domestic violence against his then-girlfriend Cassalei Jackson. But the charges were dropped when the Clark County DA rejected the case against him, citing insufficient evidence.
In July last year, he announced he was engaged to partner Bria Miller. They share two kids, Bella, two, and Carter, one.
He’s also released his own album, Centralia Love.
Erin Sanders (Quinn Pensky)
After Zoey 101, Erin went on to star in soap opera The Young and the Restless and sitcom Melissa and Joey.
She also starred in 2020 movie The Call and a string of other shows, such as Mad Men, Big Time Rush and The Mentalist. Along with many of her Zoey 101 cast mates, she’s also appeared in comedy sketch show All That.

He’s also appeared in shorts Time Hoppers, The Alien and The Unicorn Sisters. He was also director for a number of the projects. On Instagram, he describes himself as a filmmaker, showing he’s more interested in being behind the camera than in front of it these days.
