A Thai gardener has reportedly bled to death in a freak-accident after slicing his penis off with a grass strimmer.

Praditsin Chuypad was found dead with his trousers and legs soaked in blood in a forest park in northeastern Thailand.

The 39-year-old had been tending to a patch of grass when the strimmer’s blade flew off and severed his penis, causing severe blood loss, according to Thaiger.

Officers discovered Praditsin’s body on Wednesday, in the Isaan province of Nong Bua Lamphu.

Praditsin Chuypad was found dead on Wednesday 28 June after a metal blade he was using to cut grass broke and sliced his penis off

The strimmer was located near the lifeless body, next to a broken metal cutting blade that police think broke on impact with the victim.

The garden tool was reportedly covered in blood as it was recovered from the scene.

The rescue team removed Praditsin’s pants to assess the cause of his demise. His genitals were reported to be cut and a deep wound was discovered in his left groin.

The severity of the injury had affected his arteries, leading to significant blood loss which killed him.

Police said the blade was designed to cut metal and not grass, which probably worsened his injuries.

Park manager Waen Visetsakda, 72, told Thai cops that Praditsin was hired by the forest park’s owner to clear the grassy areas.

He started working in the forest park on Monday and the day of his death, June 28, was intended to be his last day.

A relative of Praditsin said he had warned him from using metal cutting blades, but the gardener thought it would help him finish the job quicker

Mr Visetsakda said the gardener had opted to use a metal blade as he thought it would help him finish the job quicker.

The caretaker said he tried to get help from Praditsin but emergency services could not reach him in time to save his life.

Praditsin’s uncle, Narongsak Laketago, 56, told ThaiRath that his nephew specialised in using grass trimmers and had been familiar with them since childhood.

Mr Naronsak said he warned Praditsin several times about using metal cutting blades but his warnings were ignored.
