The vile moment a former Los Angeles female soccer player flashed a Hitler salute and shouted ‘Heil Hitler’ during a pro-Israel rally in Beverly Hills that has gone viral.
In the video, Stefany Ferrer Van Ginkel is seen sitting in the passenger seat of a car driven by her boyfriend and United City Football Club player, Samim Haydari, KTLA reported.
Footage shows Ferrer Van Ginkel sticking her hand out of the window towards the protestors during Sunday night’s rally making the anti-Semitic hate gesture as bystanders waving Israeli flags shouted ‘Shame on you!’ at her and the driver.
The video was shared on Monday by the watchdog group StopAntiSemitism that has garnered nearly 20,000 views.
The pair issued an apology late Monday that was posted to social media but has since been deleted.
Amid the growing outrage, the Angel City Football Club issued a statement to X, formerly Twitter, condemning Ferrer Van Ginkel’s ‘recent actions and statements,’ and stating that she has ‘not been affiliated with the club since November 2022.’
In the clip, Ferrer Van Ginkel is seen sticking her hand out of the window making the Hitler salute as protestors waving Israeli flags shouted repeatedly, ‘Shame on you!’
She also shouted ‘Heil Hitler’ to the protestors who were there in support of Israel
The video was shared by the watchdog group, StopAntisemitism on Monday that has garnered more nearly 20,000 views
In the apology, Haydari said: ‘I know we have approached the situation with hate and made it worse with our actions.
‘We acted childish … All we can do is become better [and] learn a lesson from this. We cannot change the past.’
Ferrer Van Ginkel did not speak in the video, the news outlet reported.
A native of Brazil, the 25-year-old athlete played college soccer for West Virginia from 2017 to 2021. She was a midfield player for the Angel City Football Club in their inaugural 2022 season.
She also played in the two Challenge Cup matches and in two-regular-season matches, according to Just Women’s Sports.
But, her contract with the National Women’s Soccer League team was not renewed for the 2023 season, the sports publication reported.
The Hitler salute Ferrer Van Ginkel displayed is a symbol of hate, and is also referred to as the Nazi salute or the Sieg Heil salute.

The hand gesture was used by the Nazi’s to pay homage to Adolf Hitler, the leader of the Nationalist Socialist German Workers party- known as Nazis.

There have been pro-Israeli rallies across the nation as Tuesday marked one month since the Israel-Hamas war.
