Laurence Fox SPLITS from his fiancée just weeks before the wedding

EXCLUSIVE – Laurence Fox dramatically SPLITS from his fiancée just weeks before pair were due to marry: Ex-actor parts ways with Arabella Fleetwood Neagle after relationship ‘petered out’ – as friends say his priority is ‘raising his kids’

  • Friends claim that ‘as time went on, the pair’s relationship just petered out’

Laurence Fox has dramatically split from his fiancée Arabella Fleetwood Neagle just weeks before they had been expected to wed, MailOnline can reveal.

The Lewis star turned outspoken political activist announced his engagement to Arabella, 29, in January last year.

However, the former couple, who began dating in 2021, have ended their relationship after accepting it had ‘run out of steam,’ according to friends.

Laurence, 45, who was previously married to Billie Piper – the mother of his two children – had hoped to tie the knot again this summer with the school teacher heiress.

A friend said: ‘Laurence and Arabella had an instant connection from the start, and had great fun together.

‘She was also very understanding of Laurence’s controversial nature and was ready to embrace being a stepmother, too.

‘But as time went on, their relationship just petered out.

‘They’ve tried to keep things private and under the radar.’

The close associate added: ‘Lawrence says his priority is raising kids and keeping stability and peace within that setting.’

The volatile activist proposed with a large engagement ring – in the shape of a turtle – during a luxury festive foreign holiday in December 2021.

He announced their intention to marry by placing an advert in the Daily Telegraph newspaper, under the forthcoming marriages section, which read: ‘The engagement is announced between Laurence Paul Fox and Arabella May Fleetwood Neagle.’

Repeating the news on his social media channel to his 300,000 followers, Laurence added: ‘She said “yes”.’

The pair have rarely been seen together in public, however Arabella was front and centre alongside Laurence during his unsuccessful ‘anti-woke’ bid for London mayor in May 2021, and present on Laurence’s Reclaim Party’s battle bus, when they were snapped kissing, during his campaign.

His engagement came as a surprise given Laurence previously declared that he wouldn’t go out with any women under the age of 35 because they were ‘too woke’ and most of them were ‘absolutely bonkers’.

But Arabella, the daughter of a multi-millionaire businessman Paul Neagle, an investment manager and entrepreneur who lives in a £1.6million home, changed his tact and the pair appeared loved-up on the few occasions they were pictured together.

Lately Laurence’s antics have caused some to question his well-being.

Last week he filmed himself burning Pride flags in his back garden calling them ‘child mutilation bunting’ – which led to him being reported to police.

I’m 2016, he told The Sunday Mirror he turned to therapy to help him through the break up of his marriage.

He said then: ‘I haven’t slept for six months, even with sleeping pills. I go to bed the same time, same bed as the kids and just lie awake, sleeping two or three hours. My mind’s whirring round.’

Laurence divorced Billie, 40, in 2017, a year after they separated, having been married for ten years.

The couple have two sons, Winston, 14, and Eugene, 10, and Laurence told how the divorce hit him hard in the pocket, branding the process ‘horrendous’ and later admitted it took him ’18 months to two years’ to get over it.

Laurence’s transition to activist in recent years has hit his career hard, with the former Victoria star – who comes from a family of successful actors – losing out on a number of parts.

In November 2020, he was dropped by talent agency Artists Rights Group after claiming on BBC1’s Question Time that an audience member’s description of him as a ‘white privileged male’ was ‘racist’.

He had been axed by his previous firm Authentic Talent months earlier.

Lawrence was also critical of lockdown restrictions during the pandemic and Black Lives Matter protests.

He is now standing as an MP for his Reclaim Party in the upcoming by-election for Uxbridge and South Ruislip.
