A no-nonsense cop has earned the respect of Australians after telling a screaming suspect locked in a police van to ‘stop being a f***wit’.

The blonde female officer was having none of the man’s erratic behaviour during an arrest in Cessnock in NSW’s hunter region this week.

As the man kicked and screamed in the back of the police vehicle, the officer brutally shut down his offensive remarks.

‘You’re the one with the warrant, you’re the one in the dog box,’ she said.

The man then shouted: ‘Whoop de f**king doo’.

‘Whoop de doo? Stop being a f**kwit,’ the officer replied.

The suspect then continued to shout abuse to which the woman said ‘At least I’ve got a job’.

‘Stealing s**t? Is that your job?’ she added.

The footage was taken by a local resident who claimed it wasn’t the first time the man had been confronted by police.

The video received more than 500,000 views after being shared on Facebook with many impressed at the how the police officer was ‘telling it how it is’

The officer can be seen speaking to the man locked in the police vehicle during an arrest in Cessnock this week. Many were left impressed with her no-nonsense attitude

‘Police officer of the year goes to her,’ one said.

‘I just found my perfect woman,’ another wrote.

‘Give her a medal and a promotion,’ said another. 

‘I think I’m in love,’ one man admitted.

‘Seriously she should be training all cops. Quality banter.’
