Kyle Rittenhouse allegedly shot at protesters who had taken the streets to march against the shooting of Jacob Blake in Wisconsin.
The Illinois teen is accused of fatally shooting two protesters and injuring a third after pictures showed him walking the streets with an AR-15 weapon during the protests.
Social media rumors suggested he had a type of affiliation with Kenosha Police and was part of a “police explorer” program.

The shooting killed two people and hurt at least one other.
Rittenhouse, who was 17 years old at the time of the protests, allegedly fatally shot Anthony Huber, 26, and Joseph Rosenbaum, 36, and wounded Gaige Grosskreutz, 26.
Has Kyle Rittenhouse been charged?
Rittenhouse has been charged with first-degree homicide over the murder of two people in connection with the protests.
Rittenhouse pleaded not guilty to all charges.
The shooting suspect was freed from juvenile detention in Illinois just a few months after he was jailed.
Rittenhouse was released on a $2 million bail paid for mostly by supporters in November.

As of November 2021, Rittenhouse's trial is in its second week.
On November 10, Rittenhouse appeared in court and sobbed during his defense testimony, forcing the proceedings to be halted.
The former police youth cadet told the court on the seventh day of his murder trial, that he wanted to safeguard property from the unrest in the wake of Jacob Blake's injury.
Rittenhouse, now 18, initially appeared composed as he gave answers in a matter-of-fact tone to questions from defense attorney Mark Richards.
However, he quickly broke his collected appearance when he described the moment Joseph Rosenbaum allegedly ran towards him.
Following Rittenhouse's breakdown, the judge called for a 10-minute break in the testimony. Rittenhouse's mother was also seen crying in the courtroom.
On March 10, 2021 a Wisconsin judge delayed Rittenhouse's murder trial.
Prosecutors and Rittenhouse's defense attorneys told the judge they both needed more time to build cases.
The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reported Rittenhouse's lawyers said they needed extra time to finish a public opinion poll.
His lawyers said "the purpose is to get a feel for whether Rittenhouse can expect to get a fair trial in the county, or if there might be reason to seek a change of venue or a jury pool from another county".
Prosecutors and defense attorneys later both agreed to push the trial back to November 1.
What happened after he posted bail?
Prosecutors sought a fresh arrest warrant claiming the 18-year-old had secretly moved house, in violation of his $2million bail terms.
The teen failed to inform the court of his change of address.
However Rittenhouse's lawyers said the teen had not vanished and instead moved to a secret "safe house" after he received death threats.
Judge Schroeder refused to issue a new arrest warrant or increase his bail – but he did order Rittenhouse not to associate with white supremacists.
