Big Brother’s Lisa Appleton now works as Amazon driver after ‘struggling to make ends meet’

Big Brother star Lisa Appleton has been spotted wearing a hi-vis jacket and uniform after becoming an Amazon delivery driver 15 years after she appeared on the seventh series of the iconic reality show.

Lisa was seen wearing a name badge and lanyard for the monster internet company while working a shift in Cheshire, as she reportedly "struggles to make ends meet" despite shooting to fame on Big Brother.

The former bodybuilder, 55, is best known for appearing on the TV series in 2008, entering the Borehamwood bungalow with her then-boyfriend Mario Marconi.

The couple went on to get engaged during the show, in an infamous scene that kept viewers completely hooked.

They then went on to get married on Channel 4 series The Wedding House, but more than a decade after fans fell in love with their antics, the pair have since split up.

The duo were the first couple to ever enter the Big Brother house together, and Lisa continued to make headlines after the show ended with her adventures on the Blackpool party scene.

Unfortunately, the star, who still rocks a jet black mane and ultra glam makeup day-to-day, has also suffered from her stint on the show, and found it hard to grow her career in the years since.

Lisa has claimed that upon her return to normal life, she was turned away by potential employers and was even left homeless at one stage.

What's more, the reality TV star battled depression after her break-up and turned to food for comfort, as she admitted to eating up to 50 pork sausages a day at one stage.

Speaking to The Sun about her new job as a delivery driver, the star explained why she turned to a different career after being on TV.

"Obviously with the lockdown, a lot of my projects at the time got cancelled," Lisa explained to the publication.

"So in the meantime, because of the cost of living and stuff like that, food has gone up, everything has gone up.

"I can't believe the prices sometimes, they have added a pound on to things. Electricity's gone up so I thought as a boost to my income I would get a job at Amazon."

Lisa seemed to be all smiles as she was pictured getting on with her deliveries in the Cheshire area earlier this week, but according to publication, is already considering that working for the company might not be for her.

Lisa admitted that she felt "under pressure" to complete all her deliveries and claimed that doing them all in one day was incredibly difficult.

What's more, the star said she struggled with walking around outside in the rain all day.

While Lisa and Mario's stint in the limelight didn't last for the long-term, a fresh group of hopefuls will soon be entering the Big Brother house once more, as the show is set for a massive reboot on ITV2 in October.
