The Queen Consort paid a touching tribute to the late Queen as she attended the annual Diplomatic Corps Reception at Buckingham Palace with other senior royals on Tuesday evening.
Camilla wore an elegant navy Anna Valentine gown, which she paired with the late Queen's sapphire and diamond tiara with its matching necklace. She also wore sapphire earrings to match the rest of the look, but they were different to the ones usually worn with the sapphire set.
The royal tiara is adored in large blue sapphires and delicate diamonds.
As the Queen Consort arrived at the palace, she was also seen wearing a black cape with delicate silver embroidered detail over the top of her gown.
The late Queen was seen wearing the sapphire tiara and necklace on multiple occasions during her time on the throne, most commonly known in Singapore in 1989 and for China's state visit to the UK in 2015.
King George gave his daughter, the then-Princess Elizabeth, the tiara as a wedding gift in 1947. The jewels are believed to date back to the mid-1800s.
She later acquired a diamond and sapphire necklace, formerly the property of a Belgian princess, which she had set on a tiara frame in the early 1960s, and went on to commission a matching bracelet.
The whole set together is often known together as the King George VI Victorian Suite.
This is the second time in two weeks that Camilla has been seen wearing the sapphire tiara.
She also wore it at a state banquet at Buckingham Palace on 22 November, which was held in honour of the South African president, who was in London for a state visit.
During the banquet, Camilla paired the headpiece with a long-sleeved blue dress alongside a different sapphire necklace, but donned the same earrings she wore on Tuesday.
This was the first Diplomatic Corps reception in three years, as hundreds of foreign ambassadors gather for the affair in the state rooms of the Palace.
The reception saw Their Majesties meet representatives of countries accredited to the Court of St. James.
The last Diplomatic Corps reception, which is usually an annual affair, was hosted by Queen Elizabeth II at Buckingham Palace in December 2019.
It is usually held every December, but there were no receptions in 2020 and 2021 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
It comes as the royals were once again rocked by the actions of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, who recently released a trailer for their "explosive" new Netflix documentary.
