EastEnders star James Bye has given an incredibly sweet message to his co-star Louisa Lytton, who recently gave birth to her first child with fiancé Ben Bhanvra.

Speaking exclusively to OK! at the TRIC Awards on Wednesday, the actor, 37, who plays Martin Fowler on the BBC One soap, shared his congratulations to Louisa, 32, who plays Ruby Allen.

He said: “I’m just thrilled for her. She was so looking forward to it and she’s going to be the best mum ever.”

James then went on to gush even further as he said Louisa was “born” to be a mum, as was her “soon-to-be husband”.

He sweetly continued: "They are very happy. I wish them all the love in the world.”

OK! exclusively revealed earlier this month that Louisa had welcomed her first child.

Announcing the arrival of her little one, the EastEnders actress shared the first adorable snap and said she and fiancé Ben are "utterly overwhelmed with love".

Louisa exclusively told OK! of herself and Ben becoming parents to their new arrival: "And then there were three. Welcome to the world, we are utterly overwhelmed with love".

The cute picture sees Louisa’s tot clutching onto her thumb while her hand rests in Ben’s.

The 32 year old announced she was expecting back in March on Instagram with a sweet Mother’s Day post and clip alongside Ben.

Louisa finished filming on EastEnders and headed off on maternity leave at the end of July.
