Kanye West has appeared to address his unusual music video where he looks likehe buries alive Kim Kardashian’s new boyfriend, Pete Davidson.
In the video for his track Eazy, the rapper drags a body across the ground to bury it and reveal a Pete-looking character.
Kanye, 44, then tips a bag of Rose seeds over the comedian for a rose bush to eventually grow around his head.
The Monster rapper has now defended his controversial music video, while branding his work as “art”.
He wrote alongside some of the track artwork for Eazy: “Art is therapy just like this view”.
“art is protected as freedom of speech,” Kanye continued.
“art inspires and simplifies the world. Art is not a proxy for any ill or harm.
“Any suggestion otherwise about my art is false and mal intended,” followed by a black heart emoji.
In addition to the bizarre scenes in the music video, a line of the song says: “God saved me from the crash, just so I can beat Pete Davidson’s a**”.
Following the videos’ release earlier this month,Kim’s said to have been left reeling.
"Kim thinks it's way too violent and is upset," a source toldPEOPLE.
"She's really upset with Kanye that he'd do this. She's completely over all of this and she wants it to stop."

Kim, 41, isn’t the only one who was distressed by the video; others who have seen it described it as “disgusting”.
One person wrote on social media: “Kanye West decapitating Pete Davidson in his new music video is absolutely disgusting and pathetic. The man’s 44 and having a completely one-sided feud with this guy to this extreme, it’s vile and so uncomfortable to witness unfold. He needs to be de-platformed like Trump.”
Another added: “Kim Kardashian has been declared legally single and in response Kanye uploads a stop motion music video of him KIDNAPPING and DECAPITATING Pete Davidson?????? This is abuse”.
While Kim and Kanye’s divorce is yet to be finalised, the mum-of-four wasdeclared legally singleon Wednesday 2 March.
With this in mind, Kim has officially dropped West from her surname.
Back in February, the reality TV star-turned business mogul accused her ex-husband ofcausing her “emotional distress”.
She’s believed to have said to a judge: “Kanye has been putting a lot of misinformation regarding our private matters and co-parenting on social media which has created emotional distress.”
