Katie Price says her other children are ‘scared’ of her eldest son Harvey as she opened up about the reality of caring for him.
In a new YouTube video she gave viewers a tour of Harvey’s home, revealing the damage he had caused to the walls by punching through them.
The teenager, 18, had also ripped off cupboard doors and thrown them across the room, damaged televisions and broken two iPads.
The mum-of-five explained the importance of trying to find Harvey his own space so he could be more independent but confessed she sometimes struggled as he is ‘very big and very strong’.
She said: ‘I’m showing you guys, to show what it’s like with Harvey. He’s in a good mood but when he kicks off this is what happens.’
The 42-year-old added: ‘You can all see that Harvey is very big, very strong. He’s fine with me but this is why he needs to be, for his safety and everything, in surroundings where he’s there all the time, because this normally happens as well on a Monday if he doesn’t wanna go to residential.
‘It’s finding a placement for him where he’s there all the time and then when I see him I can take him out. It’s just his own safety.
‘Anyone watching this will be thinking, “Bloody hell look at that, look at the holes” but this is what I mean. This is no good for the kids in the house because they’re scared of him and you can see why.’
The former glamour model shared that she is thinking of having a home specially built that is ‘padded’ to he can keep safe.
‘I love Harvey so much I really, really do. People are saying to me “Kate, how have you done it for all these years without help?” It’s because he’s my child. I love him. I am his mum so I have to look after him,’ Katie said.
‘It’s an expense all the time. I need to find a solution. I need to find someone who can do an outdoor summer house sort of thing, and I’m gonna have to pad all the walls in it. That’s Harvey and I won’t change him but that’s why it’s hard to find the right school for him and everything.’
The reality TV star is also mum to Princess and Junior, with ex-husband Peter Andre, and Jett and Bunny with ex Kieran Hayler.
She and fiancé Carl Woods are currently trying for a baby and have even started IVF treatment so her terminally ill mum Amy can meet her new grandchild.
