The ‘Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ cast member reveals that she and her husband Mauricio Umansky have apologized to Garcelle for laughing after Erika Jayne cursed at her teenage son.
AceShowbiz –Kyle Richards owned up to her mistakes. On Tuesday, July 12, “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star revealed that she and her husband Mauricio Umansky apologized to co-star Garcelle Beauvais for laughing after Erika Jayne cursed at Garcelle’s teenage son.
Kyle revealed that she felt “terrible” after watching herself call Erika’s boozy behavior “not funny … but funny.” During an Amazon livestream, Kyle said, “You’d think after 12 years, I would know better, but we screwed up – I did. I messed up.”
She revealed she felt her apology to Garcelle was “personal,” so she didn’t want “go tell everybody” about it. “I didn’t put that in my Instagram Stories when I was explaining it because, honestly, when I apologized, it was genuine,” she shared.
“I felt like it was personal between us and I didn’t want to do that and go tell everybody, because it was for Garcelle, not for everyone else,” she explained. “But I’m saying it now because people think I didn’t apologize to her, but my husband and I did immediately.” Kyle revealed that she didn’t “wanna watch the show right now, personally, because I never, ever, ever should’ve commented on something that I didn’t see.”
Kyle was previously under fire for laughing when a drunken Erika swore at Garcelle’s 14-year-old son Jax, who tried to speak to his mom at her 55th birthday party. “I mean, it’s not funny, but it is funny,” Kyle said in the scene before her husband called Erika’s reaction “great.”
In the new interview, she also shared that she reached out to Sutton Stracke after apparently discrediting the latter’s experience with pregnancy loss. “When I woke up that morning I thought about what happened the night before and I realized that maybe Sutton was sharing her story with [Diana Jenkins] to connect with her in some way. I immediately called Sutton and apologized to her. I consider Sutton a close friend and care about her a lot. Sutton accepted my apology and we moved on,” she shared.
