Peter Andre has treated his eldest daughter Princess to a day out at the races on Thursday after her mum Katie Price was allegedly assaulted.

The 48 year old was performing at Chelmsford Races for their annual Ladies Day on and decided to take his 14 year old daughter along with him.

Mysterious Girl hitmaker Peter shared a gorgeous photo of himself with Princess, who looks strikingly like her 43 year old mum, with his 1.7million Instagram followers.

He simply captioned the sweet snap with a black love heart, tagging Princess' own account on the social media platform and #ladiesday #chelmsfordracecourse.

Princess also shared a boomerang of her and her dad with her own 444,000 followers, writing: "love you dad xx," as she poked her tongue out in the cheeky upload.

Peter reposted it to his page, writing: "Me too sweetie."

Princess was also seen smiling in the back of her dad's car as they travelled home from the gig as Peter explained he hasn't been uploading to his YouTube channel recently.

Trying to recreated Arnold Schwarzenegger's iconic Terminator line, the Australian hunk said: "We'll be back soon… no, what does he say?"

Panning the camera around to his crew, who say "I'll be back" in unsion, Princess can be seen looking towards the camera.

Princess' well deserved day out comes towards the end of a terror week for her family, with mum Katie being caught up in an alleged assault and theft in the early hours of Monday morning.

Essex Police said in a statement shared with OK! online on Tuesday: "A 32-year-old man arrested on suspicion of assault, theft and coercive and controlling behaviour has been released on bail until 20 September."

Former glamour model Katie opened up on the incident, telling The Sun: "I've got a big bruise, my face is all puffy, and I went to hospital.

"I'm still all dazed. I'm devastated. I've told police that I was assaulted, and am in shock that this happened.

"I ran away after being punched — I ran to Harvey's house nearby and have now done damage to my feet, which I previously injured. I can't say any more."

Following the alleged assault, Katie has been left "heartbroken" as her eldest son Harvey is leaving home to trial his residential college this week.

A source told The Sun: "Katie's heartbroken but knows that Harvey will have a brilliant time at his new college.

"He's going for his first overnight stay this week to get used to things and being away from home."
