Prince Harry has been sent a dire warning over a new bombshell book that will "give a different side" to the ongoing feud between him and palace aides.
The Duke of Sussex has long voiced his disdain for royal courtiers, whom he calls the "men in the grey suits", and his mother, the late Princess Diana, is also known to have "not trusted" them.
However, Harry's take on The Queen 's advisors may soon be challenged, as royal journalist Valentine Low has written a new book named Courtiers which has seen him speak to a number of palace aides.
Speaking about the book, royal commentator Richard Eden said that royal courtiers are "figures that have been really pilloried by Harry and Meghan [Markle]", who slammed them in their now infamous interview with Oprah Winfrey in 2021.
Speaking on the Mail Plus' talk show Palace Confidential, Mr Eden said: "They’ve [Meghan and Harry] always seen them as this negative, force in the background.
"Everything is always blamed on them."
He continued: "Perhaps [this book] will give a different side of things."
The Mail on Sunday’s assistant editor Kate Mansey added: "I think there is a slight apprehension – [they] like being the faceless people behind the scenes pulling the levers."
In his interview with Oprah Winfrey, Harry described how courtiers had "stopped him from seeing the Queen" two days before he and Meghan made the jaw-dropping announcement in Janaury 2020 that they would be stepping down as senior members of the royal family.
The pair had spent an extended amount of time in Canada before returning to the UK for their final duties as senior royals, and Harry claimed that the Queen had invited him to dinner before royal aides had put a firm stop to his visit.
Harry said to Oprah: "To then get back after my grandmother had said, 'the moment you land come up to Sandringham, we'd love to have a chat, come for tea, why don’t you stay for dinner because it’s going to be a long drive and you’re going to be exhausted?'
"The moment we landed in the UK, I got a message from my private secretary cutting and pasting a message from the Queen’s private secretary basically saying, 'please pass along to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex that he cannot come to Norfolk, the Queen is busy, she’s busy all week'.
"So I rang her from Frogmore that night and said, 'I was thinking about coming anyway but I hear you are now busy?'
"And she said, 'yes there's something in my diary that I didn't know I had'.
"And I said, 'well what about the rest of the week? And she goes, 'well that's busy now as well'.
"I didn't want to push as I kind of knew what was going on."
Oprah then asked: "But doesn't the Queen get to do what the Queen wants to do?"
Harry replied: "When you’re head of the Firm, there [are] people around you that give you advice.
"And what has also made me really sad is that some of that advice has been really bad.”
