Stacey Solomon teases sparkling BAFTAs outfit as she asks fans to ‘pray for her’

Loose Women panellist Stacey Solomon has given fans a sneak peak of her outfit ahead of Sunday night’s glitzy BAFTA ceremony.

The popular presenter is just one of the nominees up for a coveted BAFTA, which is due to take place this evening at London's Royal Festival Hall.

In a story shared to Instagram, Stacey revealed her glamorous outfit plans, which included a creamy lace and sequinned top, Steve Madden heels and a chic sparkling clutch bag to complete the outfit.

In a caption accompanying the image, Stacey said: “I honestly don’t remember the last time I wore heels and dressed up and went out. I’m so goofy and gangly the idea of walking down a carpet makes me shudder."

"But I’ve never felt so proud to be going somewhere and be up for an award. In the 13 years I’ve been doing this – that has never happened. Hope you have a lovely Sunday everyone. Pray for me that I don’t fall over!”

This isn’t the first time the star has expressed her disbelief at being nominated, as earlier this week Stacey had expressed similar sentiments while heading out for a manicure with her sister ahead of tonight’s awards show.

“I’m pretty sure I’m not the type of person who wins BAFTAS, but even just being nominated and imagining winning it tomorrow enough for me. If the BAFTA was a Greggs star cookie, I’d be over the moon tbf,” posted the star on Saturday afternoon.

In the same tongue in cheek clip shared online, the star giggled her way down the street as she practiced her winner’s speech should she take home the coveted win. “I just want to thank everyone who ever believed in me. Where’s my BAFTA? This award means everything to me. Thank you mum!“

Stacey is nominated in the Best Features category for her work on the BBC One show Sort Out Your Life and will be up against other popular shows such as Big Zuu’s Big Eats, Mortimer & Whitehouse and the Great British Sewing Bee.
