A WOMAN has revealed that she lives in a council house and has given it an epic makeover on a budget.

DIY fan Lara (@laralear), recently took to TikTok to show off the impressive transformation.

She explained that she used bargain buys from B&M, eBay and Facebook Marketplace, to turn her bland space into a stylish home, without having to break the bank in the process.

She shared her clip to the social media app with the caption ‘Living in a housing association property doesn’t mean we can’t make our house a home.’

In the clip, Lara shared a variety of different pictures of her home, before and after its glamorous transformation.

What was once a very plain and dark bathroom has now been transformed by Lara with fresh white paint and stick-on tiles.

Not only this, but the living area was also given a makeover and went from extremely plain to very stylish, with new flooring and even a DIY panel feature.

The master bedroom was transformed too, with the old wallpaper and flooring removed and a fresh lick of paint and a cosy carpet laid.

Finally, Lara also gave her daughter’s room some love as well and the dark red walls were soon given an upgrade, with an adorable white and peach design.
