I'm desperate to win on McDonalds’ Monopoly so devised a method to see how you’re most likely to win big – my top tips | The Sun

A MAN has revealed that he is desperate to win big on the McDonald’s Monopoly, so came up with a scientific method to see how you are most likely to win large.

Josh Ryan spent almost £50 at the fast food chain, on 25 portions of large fries, to see what prizes he would nab.

If you’ve never played the McDonald’s Monopoly before, to win prizes, fans must collect stickers from their food packaging that represent pieces from the classic game.

You can also collect the pieces through the McDonald's app – a feature introduced last year.

McDonald's Monopoly usually lasts for around six weeks, and this year it's set to end on October 17.

While you can win coupons for free food items and gift vouchers for online stores, among the top prizes this year are £100,000 in cash for five winners, TUI holidays worth £2,000 and "gold cards", which give you a free medium Maccies meal every week for a year.

Josh took to social media to show off his freebies, as he shared his simple tip to win on Monopoly – buying chips.

He said: “Buying 25 large fries to see how much I can win! Can't believe how much I won!!”

He then explained: “I just bought 25 large fries to see how much we would win on the McDonald's Monopoly. Let's go!

“Listen, there's two stickers on each pack. 25 times two, that's 50 stickers. I have to win.

“Should we start from right from the middle? Yeah. Come on, let's go. I feel like we have to win.”

Josh then ripped off the first sticker and beamed: “Winner, winner. Already knew it.

“We got Whitechapel Road and we got 40% off Skull Candy. Anybody wants Skull Candy headphones, let me know. That's a great start.”

Josh then peeled off the next sticker and things continued well, as he added: “Bro! Winner again! No way!

“I've won a personalised photo magnet. Regent Street. You're up to a great start.”

Leaving him speechless, Josh then won again on the third sticker, as he continued: “This has got to be fixed. Won again!

“That's the third chips in a row. 10% off Ao.com and Bow Street. What's going on?”

The wins continued, as Josh peeled back the sticker on his fourth chips, as he added: “Nah, you're lying. I've won again. Medium Coca Cola, Zero sugar or milkshake. Bow Street.

“Oh my god! I've won four times in a row!

“I knew buying 25 chips would do me good. I can't believe it.”

Unfortunately Josh didn’t win on the next few fries, but shortly after beamed: “Oh, my God, I've won again! No way! Fruit bag and Oxford Street.

“So this one, we've done an experiment. Fries are where it's at.”

Josh continued with a lack of wins, but things then quickly looked up, as he said: “Oh, we won! I've won this one online before, though. The Lionsgate one month subscription.

“If anybody wants that, let me know. I'll send you the code from my Instagram.”

Luckily for this fast food fan, the wins kept on coming, as he continued: “I’ve won a single McMuffin or a bacon roll. I'm sorry, I'm keeping that one.

“I've won again! Oh my God! Fries! Fries are where it's at!

“I've won a Mcflurry or a fruit bag and Fleet Street.

“Any red McCafe hot drink. We have won again! We've only won food, but we're winning.

“The last one. We're feeling lucky. Oh my god! I won again!

“We’ve got Leicester Square – six Chicken McNuggets or a cheeseburger. No way! I can't believe it.

“Fries! The fries are where you win more stuff.”

The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @joshryanx, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it was shared just two days ago, but has quickly gone viral and has since amassed a staggering 1.5 million views.

Despite Josh’s abundance of wins, social media users were more concerned with the lack of chips he was given and many took to the comments to express this.

One person said: “Fries are half empty.”

Another added: “I’d be asking for my money back, they’ve hardly filled [the] chips.”
