McDonald’s customer orders Monster Mac off the ‘secret menu’ – and it dwarfs Grand Big Mac

A MCDONALD’S customer has tapped into their alleged “secret menu” to order a staggering burger called the “Monster Mac” – and it looks humongous.

TikTok user @theglasssniper shared how the beastly burger has EIGHT patties, so it certainly isn’t for the faint-hearted.

He unwrapped the burger on camera, saying: "They tried to fit this thing in an actual Big Mac punch [box] and it doesn’t fit.

“This sucker is eight patties long, now it’s not as big as Wendy’s [another US fast-food brand] but it is also half the price.”

He spent $11 (£8) on the burger and advised that people eat it upside down, saying: “The top bun is always the sturdier one.”

He then rated the Monster Mac a nine out of 10 and said it was very tasty.

WHAT IS THE MONSTER MAC AND HOW DO YOU ORDER IT?

To create the beast you'll need to order one Big Mac and another three double cheeseburgers.

The idea is that you stuff the extra cheese inside the Big Mac to create a burger that is genuinely quite frightening.

We wholeheartedly recommend you get rid of the extra buns otherwise you're going to struggle to see it off.

It's not cheap either – getting your hands on a Monster Mac will cost you £8.26 and that's without a drink!

In a Reddit "Ask Me Anything" thread a McDonald's manager confirmed that you CAN get your hands on secret menu orders.

The Glasgow store manager said: "You can order from the 'Secret Menu'. Just like with any of our sandwiches, you can add, remove or change ingredients by special request. These are called 'grill orders' (i.e. Big Mac no pickle)."

It's not an officially sanctioned McDonald's menu – but by customising your orders, swapping ingredients and paying for extras you can get yourself a delicious secret item.

He continued: "Order one and the workers might not know it by name (i.e. Land, Air and Sea burger or the McGangBang) but if you explain what it is, and are willing to pay for all the ingredients, it's just another 'grill order' that we can make up."

The man’s Monster Mac order went down a treat with die-hard McDonald’s fans.

One said: “Wow that would take me two days to eat.”

Another added: “That burger exists? I heard stories of this legendary artery-clogging delight but never thought you could get one.”

However, a third advised that there is no “secret menu”, just special customisations, and said: “It’s just something people ordered so they add it and make it a regular menu item that’s not visible on the drive.”

This follows McDonald’s adding six items to its menu yesterday including the Grand Big Mac – which is nowhere near as big as the Monster Mac.

The Grand Big Mac burger contains the same ingredients as the regular Big Mac but in a bigger size.

A normal Big Mac is made up of two beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, and onions and is sandwiched between a three-piece sesame seed bun.

McDonald's confirmed it was bringing back the bigger Grand version in an update to customers last week.

The Grand Big Mac will be available from 11am today for six weeks, until March 23, priced at £4.39 for just the burger.

For a medium meal with a side and drink, the price is £5.79.
