Queen Elizabeth news – Her Majesty will return to work after Covid fears as Charles tells Andrew to keep ‘out of sight’

THE QUEEN is expected to return to work next week after Buckingham Palace refused to deny Her Majesty, 95, has Covid after coming into close contact with Prince Charles.

Prince Charles, 73, sparked fresh health fears after it emerged he had afternoon tea with the Queen, 95, at Windsor Castle two days before he tested positive.

It is believed the triple-jabbed monarch had no symptoms and submitted a negative result but will be closely “monitored and tested” over the weekend.

His movements over the past few days brought him into contact with Chancellor Rishi Sunak and Home Secretary Priti Patel – but the triple-jabbed 73-year-old Prince is now in self-isolation.

Buckingham Palace refused to confirm or deny whether The Queen has caught covid, but did say she is currently not showing any symptoms.

The news comes as Prince Charles has told shamed sibling Andrew to stay “out of the line of sight” — effectively banishing him from Windsor Castle.

Sussexes ‘would like to earn millions like James Corden’

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are ‘very driven by money’ and would like to be earning ‘millions’ a year ‘like their friend James Corden’, claims a royal expert.

Royal correspondent Richard Mineards, who lives near the couple in Montecito, told the Evening Standard: “They’ve obviously got their eye on the money like their good friend James Corden who now earns something like $12 million per season of The Late Late Show.

“I think they’d like to get on that sort of level where hopefully they can earn lots of money and get their views across but also do good things with The Archewell foundation as well.”

James Corden, 43, has hosted the Late Late show for six years, and in October 2021, he reportedly signed a £15million, two-year deal to keep presenting the show.

Prince Harry famously appeared on the show in February 2021.

    • A luxury bungalow on the edge of the Sandringham estate has now gone up for sale giving buyers the opportunity to become the Queen’s neighbour.

What the Royal Family has said about Harry’s book

There has been little reaction from the Royal Family so far, but a source said: “Harry scrambled to contact his family only when he knew the story was coming out  – just moments before it became public.”

Senior royals were blindsided by the news.

A source told the Mirror it had triggered a “tsunami of fear”, with Buckingham Palace terrified of more explosive claims about Harry and his wife Meghan’s life in the Firm.

Prince Charles was said to have been “surprised”. Well-placed sources said Buckingham Palace officials had been unaware of the book, and it is not known if Harry even previously told The Queen about it.

One said: “The Prince of Wales’s visit has been scheduled for 18 months. The Sussexes would have known that.

“It may not have been deliberate but it is another example of poor communication.

“Harry has been writing this memoir for a year but his family appear to have been kept in the dark.

“Harry’s decision to publish a book about the family is unprecedented.

“Clearly no fences were mended while he was visiting for the unveiling of Diana’s statue. If anything, relations between Harry and Charles appear to have got worse.”

A source said: “Harry scrambled to contact his family only when he knew the story was coming out- just moments before it became public.”

The first meeting was said to have gone well

As William's 16th birthday approached in June 1998, the Prince of Wales suggested a meeting between Wills and Camilla, with the then Mrs Parker Bowles said to be the nervous one – later said to have reached for a drink.

When they met formally for the first time, the meeting was said to have gone well.

But when it was subsequently leaked, teen Wills was said to have reacted angrily, reportedly believing the move to have been a PR stunt to help salvage his dad's public image.

The Daily Mail adds that as boys, Camilla had made them laugh, but as adults their attitudes changed to one of "icy indifference", where they saw her only as the woman who had married their dad.

A Government spokesman said: “The Government will imminently be updating the Designated Days List for 2022.

“Since 2021, the default position in Great Britain is that the Union flag flies on UK Government buildings all year round unless another flag is being flown."

"However, there wasn't anyone else it was Candy."

In the clip, the Queen can be seen asking her pet pooch: "And where did you come from? I know what you want."

      No shouting in royal household

William and Kate are hand on parents for their three children, George, Charlotte and Louis.

As well as having to abide to royal rules, Kate and William have their own household rules the children must follow.

A source close to the Express said in 2020 that "Shouting is absolutely 'off limits' for the children and any hint of shouting at each other is dealt with by removal."

They are sent to a 'chat sofa' where Kate or William will attempt to resolve the situation calmly.

"Things are explained and consequences outlined and they never shout at them."

Kate and William could move to Windsor

Sources say Kate and Wills hope to move to the Windsor area so kids George, eight, Charlotte, six, and Louis, three, can go to school locally.

The Cambridges have been eyeing up the 31-room Royal Lodge.

It needs renovating at a cost of thousands but Andrew’s funds are tied up in his legal fight.

William and Kate have also looked at Fort Belvedere on Windsor Great Park. But it is understood to be too small for their family.

Moving Andrew and Fergie into Fort Belvedere is also an option.

Queen to return to work next week

Good news for the Queen as she is expected to return to work next week which will rule out the possibility of Her Majesty having Covid.

It is believed the triple-jabbed monarch had no symptoms and submitted a negative result but will be closely “monitored and tested” over the weekend.

Royal sources confirmed Her Majesty has a diary of engagements at Windsor Castle next week which she is expected to fulfil.

      Stay ‘out of sight’

Prince Charles has told shamed sibling Andrew to stay “out of the line of sight” — effectively banishing him from Windsor Castle.

The duke and ex-wife Sarah Ferguson could even be forced out of Royal Lodge and the town itself when Charles is king.

Sources close to the Prince of Wales, 73, say he and wife Camilla, 74, are on the warpath since Andrew was told to stand trial in the US.

Charles also feels his brother misled him three years ago by saying the scandal around pal Jeffrey Epstein and sex-trafficking victim Virginia Giuffre would go away.

Andrew, 61, has not been seen near the castle since the Queen summoned him there last month to effectively fire him from the Firm.

A royal source told The Sun: “Charles wants Andrew out of the line of sight and out of the picture.

“He has been warned to keep his head down. Charles does not want Andrew to be photographed every other day looking happy and waving as he is driven to the castle.

“Eventually Andrew will be made to leave Windsor and could get several million pounds from the Royal Family. But he has made it clear that he will hang on for dear life.”

Peter Hunt a Royal expert has suggested Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, will "strengthen the institution" when she becomes Queen Consort.

Sussexes home ‘overtaken by foul smell leaving neighbours disgusted’

Meghan and Harry's £11million mansion is said to have been engulfed by a foul smell, leaving neighbours “disgusted.”

It is said to have been caused by the nearby Andrée Clark Bird Refuge, which is a 42-acre saltwater marsh.

The area is one of the largest wildlife refuges in Santa Barbara and the water can become “stagnant” leading to an odour.

The foul stink is said to have hit the area in Montecito, California, which is also home to Oprah Winfrey, Ellen DeGeneres, Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry.

A local resident told the Mirror: “It smells like offal that has been rotting in the sun. It makes my stomach churn.

“I’ve seen lots of homeowners closing their windows when it wafts over.”

      Queen’s ex-aide could be Boris Johnson’s new No10 supremo

The Queens former aide could find herself sat within No10 after it has emerged that she is being lined up to become Boris Johnsons "gatekeeper" to get a grip on Downing Street.

Samantha Cohen is being lined up for the position to head off potential disasters.

Nicknamed "Samantha the Pantha", the 53-year-old Aussie was a long time press guru for the Queen before being seconded to Kensington Palace in 2018.

Tasked with showing the Duchess of Sussex the ropes, she took on the ultimately doomed job of trying to prepare Meghan for life in the Firm.

But her new role involves bringing discipline and focus to the court of BoJo following a string of blunders that have rocked his premiership.

Royal and No 10 sources confirmed the PM played no part in approving the decision.

Courtiers previously claimed a future government would need to consider the question.

Emma, who was 34 at the time, said: "Absolutely [I felt he wanted more]. It was very clear.

"I mean it wasn't explicitly asked but he was so huggy. He would say 'do you want to stay? Do you want to watch a movie?'

"That's just not normal behaviour for a professional sports therapy session. You come, you go, you've normally got some kind of injury or pain or problem that you want fixed, it's not house calls or dinner or chit chat.

"It's always felt a bit sleazy and a bit odd really."
