Mum-of-12 shows off ‘Dorito pie’ she makes to feed her bumper brood leaving people stunned | The Sun

FINDING something your entire family loves to eat can be stressful, but this mum has done just that – not everyone's convinced though.

Mum-of-12 Alicia Dougherty, from New York, shared the controversial 'Dorito pie' so makes to feed her bumper brood on TikTok.


Alicia showed how she makes the massive pie, leaving some viewers desperate to try the carby creation for them and others disgusted.

She started by making a basic taco filling out of ground beef, onions, premade sauce and seasoning.

If you want to make a pie as big as the mum, you'll need a massive dish to cook it in, Alicia used a cast iron skilled, but and oven-safe deep dish will do the trick.

Once the taco filling was ready to go, Alicia lined the skillet with readymade puff pastry and topped it off the the ground beef, sour cream and a heft serving of grated cheese.

But the pie wasn't finished yet, the savvy mum added a layer of crushed Doritos and then repeated the layers again, finishing it off with a Dorito crust.

While some users thought the pie looked delicious, others weren't so sure.

One person commented: "This really doesn't look that good."

"Omg you guys gotta stop with these nasty inventions," a second slammed.

And someone else jabbed: "I'm an atheist but this is sinful."

Others wanted to try to make the pie for their own families: "This looks so good I'm sharing with my hubby," one wrote.

"My family loves this we've been making it for years," another said.

"This lowkey probably slaps," someone else agreed.
