My neighbor kept parking in my driveway – so I had his truck towed

AN entitled neighbor experienced a woman's wrath after parking in her driveway one too many times.

A single mother of two teenage boys resorted to having her neighbor's giant truck towed after they wouldn't stop parking in her driveway.

Reddit user u/Jeleki2020 said that she had disputes with her next-door neighbors since they moved into the "nice, quiet neighborhood at the end of a cul-de-sac" less than a year ago.

The family consists of a mother, a father, and three teenagers, and Jeleki2020 said that the family seemed friendly and normal at first.

The user said that just six months after living there, the father of the family came to her front door and asked if their 16-year-old son could use Jeleki's driveway to park his brand-new F350 truck in, as it was too big to fit in their garage or driveway.

Jeleki refused the request and told the teenager's father that the truck could be parked in the street, at which point the man apparently became irate and insisted that they be able to park the truck on Jeleki's property.

"It's not my problem that you decided to buy a vehicle that didn’t fit your property," the user says that she said to the neighbor's father.

"Now, while I also find it irritating to try to navigate the road with that truck in the way, it is public parking and so I deal with it. I will not have anyone else’s vehicle parking on my property."

After this confrontation, Jeleki said that she came home to the teenager's truck parked in her driveway many more times which led to many more arguments.

The user also said that she reached out to her homeowner's association multiple times for advice before taking matters into her own hands.

On the night of her revenge, the mother had been helping her sick son receive medical attention late one night before they arrived back at the house just before midnight to find the driveway already occupied by the truck.

Having had enough, Jeleki called a 24-hour tow truck service and they removed the unauthorized vehicle less than an hour later.

The next morning, the entitled neighbors accused the mother of stealing the truck and called the local police on her.

Once the police arrived to question her, the Reddit user explained the situation to the authorities and ended up filing a trespassing report.

Jeleki reported that months later, the family broke down and got the teenager a smaller truck.

She also updated the account with some good news — the frustrating dispute brought her closer with one of her other neighbors, who she now considers "family."

"I guess I should go thank [the problematic neighbor] and his family cause their entitlement made it possible for us to have some 'family' for the holidays," the user wrote.
