There was once a time where kids played out on their street before being glued to their screens.
It was common for the youth to entertain themselves in seemingly much simpler ways.
Like bashing conkers together or throwing a ball at a kerb – the wonders of the outdoors!

But, there is one childhood game that has got nostalgic alarm bells ringing for Brits.
Although, Brits can't seem to agree on the title of the game that kept kids out until sunset and that rattled neighbours.
The game in question consisted of kids knocking on a door, and before somebody could answer – they would run away.
As the resident would open the door, they would be baffled to find no one there.
To the joy of the bunch of crafty kids, they would be peeping around the corner or hiding in the bush in fits of laughter at their unassuming neighbour's reaction.
Reminiscing on the cheeky prank, one Twitter user asked whether anyone remembers playing it and what it was called.
They said: "When you were younger what did you call it when you knock on someone's door and run away?"
It didn't take long for Brits to flood the comments with their answers – and start defending their version of the title.
For many, they knew the game as what is says on the tin, and voiced: "Knock A Door Run."
However, others were quick to disagree and were certain that the game was named "Knock Down Ginger."
It appeared that different regions and nations had different interpretations for the title of the game.
"Chickenelly," was a popular name for the game in parts of Scotland.
Someone from Sunderland urged: "Knocky Nine Doors."
A Brit who moved about when younger shared that they knew the game by different names depending where they lived.
"Growing up initially in the North we called it 'Knock-A-Door-Run', pretty much does what it says on the tin," they informed.
"Then spent [the] latter part of my childhood in the south and for reasons which continue to bewilder me it was called 'Knock-Down-Ginger'.
"Makes absolutely no sense."
While others contributed their answers, ranging from "Door Bell Ditch" to "Knock Knock Zoom Zoom."
And it seems that controversial game was just as popular across the pond.
Many people in the US referred to it as "Ding, Dong, Ditch."
Whereas in South Africa, one user said that it is known as "Tok-tokkie" – referring to a beetle that taps the ground.
Well, it looks like no one came to a clear answer…
Saying that, the game is thought to have originated from 19th-century England and the name "Knock, Knock, Ginger" came about later on in 1967 from a poem.
