From body wipes to sleep spray, we test festival essentials for your mind and body | The Sun

SUMMER is firmly here and that means we can holiday in the UK and enjoy a bit of sunshine with it.

But as well as the painkillers, sunscreen, and mozzie spray in your backpack there are a few other health essentials that can come in useful if you are having a break at a festival or campsite.

Today Jane Atkinson looks at three products that can ease the strain on your mind and body.

Body wipes

FRESHWIPES are a full shower in one wipe – ideal when you don’t want to queue hours for a shower.

They are extra-large, measuring 30cm by 20cm, and are twice the thickness and ten times the wetness of baby wipes.

They are designed to clean your body whenever you can’t shower.

They are antibacterial, pH-balanced, plastic-free and 100 per cent biodegradable.

They come in coconut or grapefruit scents so are great for men and women.

They are also ideal for anyone who is travelling, camping, going to the beach or rushing to work after the gym.

Quickly and easily remove body odour, freshen up and feel clean, even if you haven’t showered for days.

Let’s be honest, no one wants to queue for cold portable showers even if they are available on site.

From £5.99 for 12 large –  see freshwipes.co.uk.

Energy drink

TENTS are all well and good but you don’t always get the best night’s sleep so you need to get your energy from somewhere – and the plant-based energy drink Tenzing is one healthy solution.

The drinks’ formulas are isotonic, which means they match the body’s natural salt and sugar levels, avoiding an energy spike, and they give a sustained energy boost with a triple hit of caffeine, vitamin C and electrolytes.

They contain seven natural, plant-based ingredients and 60 per cent less sugar than other major energy drinks.

Tenzing is the first carbonated drink globally to implement carbon footprint labels declaring its products’ environmental impact.

I tried the Apple And Seaberry, which tastes like Lilt. Yummy.

63kcal per can and the 106mg of caffeine definitely perked me up. £15.99 for 12 cans – see tenzingnaturalenergy.com.

Sleep spray

WALKING around a festival or socialising around the campfire can be fun, but exhausting.

And it can be hard to relax after the music has had you buzzing for hours.

This Mighty Green calming lavender pillow spray – which can also be spritzed on your clothes – contains lavender essential oil to help you chill out.

Avoiding a load of chemicals, it’s just the thing to assist as your body unwinds.

All it contains is water, glycerin, fragrance, the preservative phenoxyethanol, lavender oil and linalool.
