JLo just modernised her Shall We Dance hairstyle for her bridal beauty look

In what is perhaps one of the greatest pop culture love stories of our times, Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck have just got married. After getting back together last year – almost 20 years after they first dated back in 2002 – and then getting engaged, the pair confirmed on Sunday that they’d finally tied the knot in Las Vegas.

Now we don’t need to tell you that JLo was always going to be a seriously beautiful bride, but she’s continuing to feed our love for nostalgia with a wedding beauty look that feels like a real nod to her noughties chick flick star days.

In fact, our eagle-eyed beauty team reckons the 52 year old’s hairstyle looks straight out of 2004 hit Shall We Dance, a style she also wore for the film’s premiere – and needless to say, she’s barely aged in the years since.

The star’s go-to hairdresser Chris Appleton was of course behind her wedding day look, sharing some behind-the-scenes footage of JLo’s final hairstyle, a glamorous bouncy blow dry in the noughties-famous “half up” hairstyle, paired with pretty nude-toned makeup and a brown smokey eye.

Fans were unsurprisingly very quick to gush over the blushing bride, with one commenting on Chris’ Instagram Reel of the star shortly before the ceremony, “Her hair color is absolutely gorgeous!” as another demanded, “We need close ups on this hair!!! STUNNING!”

“Omggg she looks beautiful. I love her,” a third wrote, as a fourth agreed she looked straight out of her noughties romcom days with, “I’m getting the Wedding Planner vibes here.”

Until recently JLo had been sporting a sunkissed dark blonde balayage, though it looks as though she changed up her hair colour in honour of her wedding day too. Her super shiny and glossy hair is now slightly darker in tone and closer to a chestnut brunette shade.

We’ve no word on the exact products used to create the star’s bridal beauty look just yet, but whatever was used we’ll be adding to our beauty wishlists, stat.

Congrats to the happy couple!
