Nandos customer emotional as restaurant pays bill for cousin going through chemo

A Nando's customer has gone online to praise the restaurant chain for how they treated their little cousin, who is currently going through chemotherapy.

The diner took to Twitter to share a message and a picture of their bill, which they revealed the restaurant had paid.

The Twitter user, known as @inbestologica online, said that they've visited the Manchester Piccadilly branch of the restaurant change.

They thanked staffed there for being so accommodating to their cousin.

The message read: "Want to say a huge thank you to @NandosUK Manchester Piccadilly for being so accommodating to my little cousin who is going through chemotherapy right now. They even paid the bill. Seriously, it means a lot."

The bill showed a tally of their food, which came to £50.70.

However, the same amount had been slashed off and noted as a 'random act of kindness'.

This meant the their bill now stood at £0, as 'check closed' was written at the bottom.

The post quickly went viral – racking up more than 37,000 likes as many people praised the restaurant and wished the diner and their cousin well.

One fellow Twitter user wrote: "Wholesome. Hope your cousin comes through their battle."

While another added: "It's heartwarming to see a selfless act by @NandosUK. Huge kudos to them. Sending beat wishes to your cousin; hopefully a long and healthy life ahead."

A third chimed in: "Lovely story this. And all the best to your cousin, stay strong."

While a fourth said: "Classy gesture @NandosUKmthat’s brilliant by your Manchester Piccadilly branch, but clearly an ethos from your leadership. Lovely to read it really is."
