It’s about time.

Disney+ has unveiled a new trailer for its “Loki” series starring Tom Hiddleston, 40, and it showcases the MCU’s snarkiest player on a time-bending wild ride.

As the trailer shows, it all ties back to the fist “Avengers,” when Loki was a more straightforward villain. The Tesseract device from that movie created several different realities and timelines. The “Loki” trailer shows our main man (Hiddleston) taken into the headquarters of a mysterious bureaucratic organization known as the Time Variance Authority, or “the Timekeepers.”

There, he’s brought before a mustached Owen Wilson, 52, co-starring as Mobius, who works for the organization.

“We protect the proper flow of time,” he explains to Loki. “You picked up the Tesseract, breaking reality. I want you to help us fix it.”

When Loki — understandably — asks, “why me?” Mobius tells him, “I need your unique Loki perspective.”

The tone of the show is an action-thriller with some time-bending and comedic elements, including Loki’s signature one-liners, (“It is adorable that you think you could possibly manipulate me,” he says at one point).

Gugu Mbatha-Raw (best-known for the “Black Mirror” tearjerker episode “San Junipero”) also co-stars as a member of the Time Variance Authority. Chris Hemsworth’s Thor is not shown in the trailer, and there’s no word yet on whether he might make an appearance in his brother’s show.

The series will be six episodes, and a second season is already in development. It’s the MCU’s third show, after the insanely popular “WandaVision” and “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.”

“Loki” will premiere on Disney+ June 11.
