Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York is celebrating the news that her godson, Albemarle ‘Alby’ Shale, has got engaged, to a woman called Chelsea Peters.

Alby is the son of Nicola Williams-Ellis, who is also the mother of Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, husband of Fergie’s daughter Princess Beatrice.

Alby’s father, Christopher Shale, was a close associate of former prime minister David Cameron who died at Glastonbury Festival in 2011.

‘I am so delighted and proud of my godson,’ the Duchess tells The Daily Mail’s Richard Eden. ‘His father would be skipping with joy and happiness. Alby and Chelsea are a superb couple. Chelsea is magical and I wish them all the happiness for their future.’

Elsewhere, property mogul Edo, 39, took to Instagram to celebrate the happy news of his New York-based, half-brother Alby’s engagement to his fiancée Chelsea.

The caption also hinted towards Edo’s feelings for Beatrice as he wrote: ‘Finding that special someone is truly the greatest blessing in life.’

Edo’s post showed Alby as he smiled behind his partner while donning a shirt with the top buttons casually undone. Chelsea shared a big grin while leaning on the shoulder of her fiancé.

She sported a metallic strappy top with a pair of tortoise-shell shades.  Alby, who maintains a low profile, is a social entrepreneur and founder of Life is Meeting.

In the caption, Edo gushed over his ‘little bro Alby’ and said: ‘Your engagement news fills my heart with so much happiness.’

The caption read: ‘So happy for my little bro Alby and Chelsea! Finding that special someone is truly the greatest blessing in life. Your engagement news fills my heart with so much happiness.

‘Wishing you both a lifetime of love, laughter, and endless adventures!’

The news comes shortly after Edo’s step sister, Phoebe Williams-Ellis, 29, and Raoul de Lantsheere wed in Cumbria.

According to the Daily Mail’s Diary Editor Richard Eden, Beatrice and Edoardo Mozzi Mapelli’s 22-month-old daughter was asked to be a flower girl for the happy couple.

Meanwhile, Edo’s seven-year-old son Wolfie – who he shares with his ex-fiance Dara Huang – is said to have performed the role of pageboy during the ceremony.

Whilst Sienna arrived at the church with her parents, Wolfie – who was wearing braces – remained with the other pageboys before joining them later.

The youngster is said to have arrived at the ceremony at St Oswald’s church in Kirkoswald, Cumbria in a tractor.

The bride – who works as a Set Designer, Costume Designer and Production Designer- is the step-daughter of Edo’s mother Nicola Diana Williams-Ellis.

Despite the wet weather, Phoebe appeared in great spirits as she arrived at the church with her father David Williams-Ellis – who protected her from the rain with a large blue umbrella.

Phoebe styled her hair in a half-up, half-down style and looked elegant in a floor-length white gown with sheer sleeves and chunky heels.

During the traditional church ceremony, the bride was given away by her father.
