There are 12 signs of the zodiac, but they don’t correspond with the months of the year. This is because a star sign season is defined by how long the sun is ‘in’ a specific zodiac sign in the sky. Each season lasts about 30 days, but they normally start towards the end of each month. What star sign season is it now, and how will it affect us?

What star sign season is it now?

As of Tuesday, April 20 it is Taurus season after 30 days of Aries season.

Taurus season will last until May 20, and then it’s Gemini season for 30 days.

The Sun in Taurus will have an effect on every single person, no matter what their zodiac sign is.

What’s the horoscope?

Taurus season is supposed to make us all chill out, spend time in nature and indulge in some pampering or self-love.

When the Sun is in Taurus, normally we all start to destress, feel more confident and spend lots of time having fun with friends.

However, according to astrologer Francesca Oddie (@francescaoddieastrology) this Taurus season is different.

The Sun isn’t the only thing that impacts us – we also need to look at the other planets and how they influence our moods.

Francesca said: “Because the Sun is conjunct Uranus we can expect a shock.

“This first week of Taurus season is actually going to be quite energised.

“The vibe is quite excited, maybe slightly nerve-wracking but definitely not calm.”

If you were looking forward to the “normal sensual, chilled out, blissful” Taurus season where you “look at the blossom and enjoy the natural world,” you might be disappointed!

Francesca warned: “We’re building up to the Full Moon in Scorpio on April 27 and you can see the Moon waxing in the sky.

“There’s a much higher, stronger energy at play because Uranus is involved.

“Then, because Jupiter is in Aquarius when the Sun is past Uranus it will be forming a Moon with Saturn which will actually be a bit depressing, low mood.”

Don’t worry, things will pick up after the Full Moon and the tension will ease.

Francesca said: “After the shock of whatever happens around the Full Moon, it could be a REALLY high mood.”

May 4 is a date to mark in your diary, Francesca said. She explained: “This day will bring a really excitable but maybe overinflated, an exaggerated mood.”

“Because of the planets in Aquarius and the big Saturn/Jupiter conjunction we had earlier in the year, that level of excitability and speed are overriding the normal chillness of Taurus season.”
