This easy trick gives you free delivery from Deliveroo for a whole year

Although it’s January and lots of us might have resolved to cut down on takeaways, the reality is that most of us won’t stop all together – despite our dreams of finally sorting out our finances.

But what if we told you that you could have your takeaways delivered for free, with nothing more than the click of a button?

For members of Amazon Prime, there is a little known trick that allows users to register for Deliveroo Plus at no cost, for a whole year.

Deliveroo Plus usually costs £7.99 a month for gold members, giving free delivery on orders over £10. Silver customers pay £3.99 a month, meaning that orders over £25 are delivered without charge.

Using this hack, Amazon Prime members can get free silver membership for 12 months. All you have to do is head to the the Deliveroo website and register your details – and it only takes two minutes.

This will save those who are eligible £40 a year.

Food delivery services have increased in popularity over the course of the pandemic, as people avoided bars and restaurants – or weren’t able to go, due to restrictions.

Deliveroo was no exception to this, with its consumer base reaching an average of 7.8 million monthly active members in the second quarter of 2021, after the onset of Covid-19 – more than double what it was in the first quarter of 2020.

The number of customer orders also increased more than two-fold, to 149 million in the first six months of 2021, as the appetite for takeaways continued to grow despite the reopening of bars and restaurants.

So, if you’re one of the many people continuing to enjoy a takeaway – you might as well get it delivered for free.
