MANCHESTER UNITED are back in the hunt for top target Jadon Sancho and could sign him as soon as this month.
The Red Devils have also reportedly made contact with Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos.

AND IT’S ALL LIVE
In a statement released after the two-hour virtual meeting, a Premier League spokesman said: “All Premier League fixtures from Saturday 30 January to the last weekend of February will be made available to fans to watch live in the UK.
“Matches will continue to be shown via the existing services of broadcast partners Sky Sports, BT Sport, Amazon Prime Video and BBC.
“Details of all contracted broadcast selections will be announced today, along with early additional selections.
“Confirmation of the remaining fixtures, up to match round 26, will follow in due course.
“The Premier League and its clubs are committed to an accessible solution for fans.
“These plans have been made with the cooperation of our broadcast partners, working with us to deliver these additional matches while stadiums are missing the supporters who are such an integral part of the game.”

A bit of breaking football news for you…
Premier League chiefs have steeled themselves for a fan-free season despite the roll-out of the Covid-19 vaccine.
The 20 “shareholder” clubs today confirmed that all matches up to the end of next month will be screened live on TV.
But privately, league and club chiefs recognised it is unlikely that fans will be allowed back through the turnstiles until next season.
And unless there is a surprise change of heart from Government and health chiefs, that will mean the entire second half of the campaign being available for fans to watch “live” from home.
Tottenham and Manchester United are the hardest hit by the continued shut-out, losing around £6m in income for each home game played behind closed doors.
But while crowds of up to 2,000 were allowed for a few weeks in December, the subsequent clampdown in the face of the mutant strains of the virus saw the gates shut once again.

STAT ATTACK
Ahead of tonight’s game at Craven Cottage, our friends at Opta have compiled some juice pre-match stats to get our teeth stuck into…
- After winning consecutive league games against Man Utd in 2009, Fulham are winless in their last 11 against the Red Devils (D2 L9), shipping 29 goals in that run.
- Man Utd have won their last four away Premier League games against Fulham, by an aggregate score of 12-1.
- Manchester United are looking to record three consecutive Premier League clean sheets for the first time since February 2020.
- Manchester United are the only side without an away defeat in the Premier League so far this season (W7 D2), while the Red Devils have picked up the most points (23) and scored the most goals (22) on the road in the competition this term.
- Manchester United are unbeaten in their last 16 Premier League away games. In their top-flight history, they’ve only once gone longer without defeat on the road – 17 games between December 1998-September 1999.

ROJO HEADING HOME
Boca Juniors are interested in signing Manchester United outcast Marcos Rojo.
The Argentine has not played for the Red Devils since November 2019 and talks are underway with the South American giants.

ON GARD
Jesse Lingard could be stuck on Man Utd's bench after Nice reportedly pulled out of a loan swoop.
The 28-year-old has barely featured for the Red Devils this season.
And the England midfielder looked set to leave on loan this month in a bid for first-team football.
Sky Sports reported that Lingard had held talks with Nice over a move to the south of France.
But now it seems the Ligue 1 side have gone cold on the 28-year-old Red Devil.

DIALLED IN
Sticking with Amad Diallo, and SunSport’s Charlie Wyett revealed he will have his first name on the back of his No 19 shirt at Manchester United.
A £37million arrival, Diallo has his middle name as Traore as the surname on his passport.
The former Atalanta winger has dropped Traore because of an unsettling story alleging child trafficking.
Amad, 18, and his brother Hamed, 20, who plays for Serie A side Sassuolo, moved from the Ivory Coast to Italy on a family visa more than six years ago.
They arrived with their father Hamed Mamadou Traore and mother Marina Edwige Carine Teher.
But prosecutors in Parma allege that they are not the parents of either player. It is also claimed the two may not even be brothers.
Three other adults have also been questioned over concerns more kids have been illegally brought in from the Ivory Coast.

MORE ON AMAD
More from Solskjaer on the new signing: "He's definitely settled down well. The players have taken to him, he's a good character, polite, smiley boy who works really hard.
"He's doing his sessions and getting used to us.
"There's always a period of adjustment needed but he's settling in well.
"He can handle the ball, he's enjoyed training and he makes a difference in training, which is quite remarkable at his age."

GOING AMAD
Amad Diallo could make his Manchester United debut in a matter of weeks.
The 18-year-old is getting to grips with life at Old Trafford after completing a £37million move from Atalanta.
Despite only making two substitute appearances back in Italy, Diallo could be handed a United debut sooner rather than later.
When asked if the winger's bow could come in the next four or five weeks, Solskjaer told reporters: "It might be quicker than that.
"I can't see it being too long until he's in the squad.”

TOP DOG
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer thanked the Manchester United board for sticking with him on his long-term plan to get the club back on course for the title, writes Neil Custis.
Now for the first time since Sir Alex Ferguson bowed out with the Premier League trophy in 2013 there is a real belief the title can return to Old Trafford.
The reboot, derided in some quarters in times of trouble, has kicked the club’s detractors into touch.
Solskjaer said: “Everyone in football, or in life really, who wants to be successful knows that continuity and consistency has to be there to be successful in the end.
“If the plan is good and the people you bring in have filled the criteria…
“Hopefully I have proven that I can help the club going forwards and, personally, I have felt very strong backing and leadership from the club, which has made the journey that we’ve been on — ups and downs — clear.
“We have always sat down and had a long-term view on it. It is up to every club how they run the team but sometimes consistency and patience will be rewarded.”

ALL JAMMED UP
Manchester United are looking to swoop for 17-year-old sensation Jamal Musiala, according to reports.
The former Chelsea youngster is in talks with Bayern Munich over a new contract but negotiations are said to have stalled.
Attacking midfielder Musiala is after a whopping £100,000-a-week contract despite his tender years, according to Goal.
And his demands are said to have caused a deadlock – with the German giants unwilling to cough up.
Musiala is still on a youth contract which doesn't expire until summer 2022.
But having broken several records with the Bavarians, if an agreement cannot be reached, a summer transfer looks likely.
Liverpool and Manchester City are also said to be keeping tabs on the situation.

RAM RAID
Manchester United have been in contact with Sergio Ramos, according to reports.
Journalist Ian McGarry told The Transfer Window podcast: “Sergio’s brother has told them (Real Madrid) that Manchester United have been in contact."

'INHERENTLY POSSIBLE'
Jadon Sancho could join Manchester United this month, claims The Athletic's Raphael Honigstein.
But the German journalist added that a summer deal would be more likely.
He told The Transfer Talk podcast: "Everybody in Dortmund knows nothing will happen in January.
"The player is not agitating for a move, there’s a very clear agreement that transfers of that magnitude at Dortmund will only happen in the summer.
“There was a big transfer announced in January a couple of years ago. That was Christian Pulisic [to Chelsea]. But remember, even his deal was the deal for the summer.
“So no one’s stopping United, if they went out, and felt really confident, to say, ‘let’s do this deal now, let’s make sure we get in now’. And maybe then announce it at the end of January. That’s inherently possible.
“We just haven’t seen or heard anything to suggest that they are indeed ready and willing to come back to that negotiation at the moment. I think everyone at Dortmund is under no illusions that the player wants to leave.”

LEICESTER GO TOP
Leicester's 2-0 win over Chelsea last night was bad news for United.
The victory took the Foxes on to 38 points from 19 matches and top of the Premier League.
However, United can reclaim that spot with victory tonight.
A draw, though, will leave them behind Leicester on goal difference – and Manchester City can also get to 38 points if they Aston Villa this evening.

GOOD MORNING RED DEVILS FANS
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer thanked the Manchester United board for sticking with him on his long-term plan to get the club back on course for the title.
He said: “Hopefully I have proven that I can help the club going forwards and, personally, I have felt very strong backing and leadership from the club, which has made the journey that we’ve been on — ups and downs — clear.
“We have always sat down and had a long-term view on it. It is up to every club how they run the team but sometimes consistency and patience will be rewarded.”
Meanwhile, United will have to wait until the spring to re-commence talks over Jadon Sancho, it has been claimed.
German journalist Raphael Honigstein has told Sky Sports that a move in January is off the table.
Instead clubs could reportedly begin negotiations in the spring for a switch at the end of the season.
Borussia Dortmund are seen as unlikely to lower their valuation of the 20-year-old with two-and-a-half-years left on his contract.
Finally, Solskjaer admits Amad Diallo is nearly ready to make his Man Utd debut.
The boss said: “It might be quicker than that (five weeks). I can’t see it being too long until he’s in the squad.
“He’s definitely settled down well. The players have taken to him, he’s a good character, polite, smiley boy who works really hard.

PREDICTED XI
Man Utd could welcome Edinson Cavani back into the line-up for Wednesday's clash with Fulham.
Eric Bailly and Nemanja Matic are also hoping for recalls as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer looks to rotate his side.
But the likes of Alex Telles and Dean Henderson may have to settle for places on the bench.

RO YOUR BOAT
Boca Juniors have offered a two-year contract to Man Utd outcast Marcos Rojo.
Argentine paper Ole claims the defender is wanted in Buenos Aires as the Red Devils look to offload him this month.
Boca believe they have a verbal agreement with Rojo, but rivals Estudiantes are also said to be in the running and are adamant the centre-back is yet to make a decision.

ODE TO JOY
Martin Odegaard has reportedly put Premier League clubs on red alert after telling Real Madrid he wants to leave.
Marca claims the Norwegian ace is furious over his lack of minutes this term despite starring on loan at Real Sociedad last term.
Odegaard has told Zinedine Zidane he wants to leave the Bernabeu as soon as possible.
And that could spark an epic transfer battle between England's top clubs for one of world football’s top-rated playmakers.

TELLY TROUBLE
Prem clubs have been hit with an £86m legal threat as they meet for the first time in five weeks.
The 20 clubs voted to dump Chinese broadcaster PPTV in October after the company reneged on the first £160m payment due under their three-year deal.
A legal case and claim of £165m was lodged at London’s Commercial Court as the League found a short-term replacement for this season.
But now PPTV had countersued, claiming £86m in damages and alleging they had “suffered huge loss, including lost advertising revenue, membership revenue and so on” as a result of the three-month Covid shutdown last term.
PPTV also insist they paid £128m in advance – a claim denied by the Prem – and accused the League of inconsistency in its business approach.
A PPTV spokesman said: “The Premier League seems to have adopted a double standard and treated a domestic UK broadcaster differently from a Chinese broadcaster.
“We have made our best efforts to reach a compromise, but we have been left with no choice but to take legal action.”
Prem chiefs were unmoved by the legal threat and are likely to confirm the confidence of their legal stance at the “shareholder” meeting.

MED OVER HEELS
Man United are reportedly lining up a move for Lens' talented young defender Facundo Medina.
The Argentine centre back has impressed in France since swapping his homeland for Ligue 1 in a £2.7million move from Talleres last summer.
According to La Voix du Nord, via Sport Witness, United are 'very serious' about signing the 21-year-old.
The report adds that the Red Devils could 'rapidly and officially' launch an £11m offer to land Medina.
United could then tempt Lens with the possibility of sending the defender back on loan to the Ligue 1 club for the rest of the season.
Yet the chances of Medina of leaving Lens this month are said to be slim despite pursuit from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side.

German journalist Raphael Honigstein has told Sky Sports that a move in January is off the table.

Borussia Dortmund are seen as unlikely to lower their valuation of the 20-year-old with two-and-a-half-years left on his contract.
The transfer fee, agent payments and wages were all thought to be behind last summer's move failing.
And Sancho is happy to focus on Dortmund matters amid the rumours.
