MIKEL Arteta has been charged by the FA over comments he made after Arsenal's defeat at Newcastle on November 4.
The Spaniard slammed the decision by ref Stuart Attwell and VAR Andy Madley for opting not to disallow Anthony Gordon's match-winner, branding it “embarrassing” and a “disgrace”.
Meanwhile, France manager Didier Deschamps has suggested that William Saliba is lacking competition at Arsenal.
And the Gunners have a transfer battle on their hands as Chelsea have also set their sights on Brazilian wonderkid Gabriel Moscardo.

Gabriel's favourite Brazilian players
The Arsenal defender has also revealed his favourite Brazilian players.
I like Neymar so I’m happy to be there with him. Now he’s injured but he’s a good guy.
I love to be there because I watched Neymar when I was younger.
A lot of players, Marquinhos as well, Thiago Silva… I’m so happy to be there.
After Ronaldo came to Corinthians, of course I watched him a lot and he’s a top player.
Coutinho is a top player and I’ve played with him as well for the national team.

Gabriel on Brazil 'dream'
Gabriel Magalhães has spoken about his dream of playing for the Brazil national team.
To play for Brazil is a big dream. The first time I was called up, I was at home and Edu called me.
He said I was in the national team and I never forget this day.
Also, my debut was so special. When I’m there I’m so happy. I spend a good time with the players.
It’s a good feeling to sing the national anthem. It’s better and better every time I go to the national team.
My family were there for my first goal and I was so happy to score.

Real chance for Kieran
Real Sociedad are expected to ponder a permanent transfer for loan star Kieran Tierney in the summer.
TeamTalk say the Arsenal left-back, 24, is valued at £30million.
Newcastle were linked with the ex-Celtic hero before he switched to Spain for the season.
And if Tierney does return to the Emirates at the end of the season he could face an even tougher fight for game-time than before.
That's because the Gunners' versatile summer signing Jurrien Timber is now fit and ready to challenge Oleksandr Zinchenko for the position.

Gunners well placed to sign Ruben
Arsenal have reportedly been offered the option to sign Ruben Neves on loan from Al-Hilal.
The midfielder is available for loan in January, with Newcastle previously being favourites for his signature.
But Premier League clubs are set to vote on a ban on loans between clubs with the same owner – as is the case with Newcastle and Al-Hilal.
Arsenal may therefore reignite their interest and sign the Portuguese midfielder on a temporary deal.

Mikel could face ban for ref rant
Mikel Arteta faces a potential touchline ban for his verbal attack on Prem refs.
Arsenal chief Arteta went on the warpath after the Gunners’ controversial defeat at Newcastle.
Outraged Arteta slammed the decision by ref Stuart Attwell and VAR Andy Madley, branding it “embarrassing” and a “disgrace”.
Arsenal then put out what many considered an inflammatory statement backing the Spaniard and presenting a “dossier” of poor decisions against them they claimed justified his stance.
Arteta doubled down two days later, suggesting there was a “stink” about decisions – which some suggested implied a conspiracy against the North Londoners.
And now the FA has finally intervened, after receiving Arteta’s “observations” in response to an initial inquiry from Wembley disciplinary chiefs.

'Gunners can stay in title race this time'
Ex-Manchester United and Arsenal defender Mikel Silvestre has backed the Gunners to push Manchester City all the way for the title.
The Frenchman told bettingexpert.com: "Arsenal have the quality to win the Premier League
"Maybe it is better for Arsenal to start this way and finish stronger. Because the ‘money time’ is March/April. That's when City will be there.
"They'll respond to this pressure and they will get points with the squad they've got, when other teams are getting tired."
"So Arsenal needs to stay in the race. It doesn't matter how. Newcastle was a tough game. They lost but the margin was very thin."
"I think quality wise, they are still equipped to reach the objective this season."

Italian clubs 'chase Kiwior'
The Gunners are said to regard Jakub Kiwior as "untouchable" amid interest from two huge Italian clubs.
The Poland international, 23, only joined the Gunners from Spezia in January in a deal worth £21million.
e has gone on to register 16 appearances for Mikel Arteta's side, scoring one goal.
But while he has started two Premier League games so far this season, he remains a fringe player as Gabriel and William Saliba are still the trusted centre-back partnership.
As a result, Calcio Mercato journalist Daniele Longo has claimed both AC Milan and Roma are interested in bringing him in on loan.
It is understood they have proposed deals to Arsenal for the defender to join them in January.

'Mikel is changing football'
Ex-striker Niall Quinn believes Mikel Arteta is changing the way football is played – just like great managers of the recent past.
Now the former Arsenal, Manchester City and Sunderland ace believes the Gunners, runners-up last season, can push champs City even harder this term.
Quinn, 57, exclusively told Ladbrokes Fanzone: "What I like about this team is that I think they've kicked on a bit from last year. They look more confident, they look ready for the fight.
"Arsenal and Arsene changed the way the game was played. Man City under Pep [Guardiola] changed it years later. And I think Arteta has his team, next in there, ready to go and be the next ones to change things.
"But what Arsenal and Arteta have, I think, is a foundation to come in and challenge Man City for the title.
"As an ex-Arsenal man, I enjoy watching them again, I really do. If Arsenal are playing, I know it's going to be a good game; I know I'm going to be entertained."

'Arteta already in same bracket as Pep and Wenger'
Former Arsenal cult hero Niall Quinn believes Mikel Arteta already deserves to be bracketed in the same class as Arsene Wenger and Pep Guardiola.
Arteta, 41, guided the Gunners to Premier League runners-up spot last season despite his arrival in 2019 being his first appointment as a manager.
Legendary ex-Arenal chief Wenger won the Prem three times and oversaw seven FA Cup triumphs during his 22-year reign.
And Guardiola guided Manchester City to the Treble last season after glittering success in charge of Barcelona and Bayern Munich.
Quinn exclusively explained his views to Ladbrokes Fanzone, saying Arteta had transformed Arsenal.

Aaron urged not to seek January transfer
Ex-Gunners midfielder Ray Parlour is hoping Aaron Ramsdale waits until next summer before seriously pondering his future.
The 50-year-old believes second-choice keeper for both Arsenal and England should see if his fortunes changes before then.
Parlour told NetBet Sports Betting: “If it was up to me I would stay where I was in January, because you never know what’s going to happen – David Raya could get an injury and Aaron might get that chance.
“For England we know that Gareth Southgate is very loyal to players, so Ramsdale will go to the Euros, but Gareth will likewise always pick Jordan Pickford as he has never let England down.
“I think he should definitely review things at the end of the season and consider his options, and I think he would probably want to move on and play football.”

Sol Campbell wants Osimhen
Sol Campbell has urged Arsenal to sign Victor Osimhen from Napoli.
Speaking to The Mirror, Campbell said: "Osimhen," when asked who Arsenal should sign.
He continued: "But is he going to cost too much money? There's Ivan (Toney). I think they (Arsenal) are good (in other areas). Centre forward is one thing they might need to look at and see the possibilities, see what's out there, or wait until next season.
"In the end, they will have to decide by January: do they need a centre forward?" Campbell said. "Twenty to 25 goals in the Premier League in those big, tight games, will help them.

Havertz needs to toughen up – Michael Ballack
Chelsea and Germany legend Michael Ballack has called on Kai Havertz to come out of his shell if he is to be a success at Arsenal.
He said to Sport Witness: “Kai Havertz has outstanding skills. But as already mentioned: he seems a bit too reserved for me.
"You need a certain robustness and mentality, especially abroad, to assert yourself in difficult situations. I hope he gets it done.
“In my opinion it is still too early for that (an exit). He should assert himself at Arsenal by all means possible.”
