Arsenal star Aubameyang 'wants club to seal Ousmane Dembele transfer this summer' with Barcelona star available on cheap

PIERRE-EMERICK AUBAMEYANG wants Arsenal to sign Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele, according to reports.

The Gunners striker is yet to sign a new deal with the North Londoners and is said to want assurances over the club's ambition before he puts pen to paper.

And one man he would love to see join him at the Emirates is his former Borussia Dortmund teammate Dembele, according to French outlet Le10Sport.

The pair played together in Germany between 2016 and 2017.

French World Cup winner Dembele has struggled for game time at the Nou Camp this season and was recently linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain in a swap deal with Neymar.

And he is one of a "whole side of players" Barca are reportedly looking to sell.

Dembele has struggled since a £135m move from Borussia Dortmund three years ago.

The French winger has been hampered by injury, making just 74 appearances and scoring 19 goals.

The Barca hierarchy are said to be willing to cut their losses on Dembele after the emergence of wonderkid Ansu Fati.

The 23-year-old would be available for around £44million.

Mikel Arteta recently pleaded with Aubameyang, 31, to stay at the club and become a legend.

Gunners chiefs will this week offer their FA Cup final match-winner fresh terms — but he wants a three-year deal worth £250,000-a-week.

Aubameyang, who scored twice to beat Chelsea 2-1 at Wembley, is out of contract in less than a year.

And Arteta said: “Scoring is the most difficult thing in football. He makes it look simple — look at the second goal.

"We have always had incredible strikers at this club and Auba deserves to be named and compared with the big names.

“By winning trophies he will be closer to them and, hopefully, we can have him for longer.”
