Best horse racing tips for today's action at Lingfield, Catterick, Leicester and Leopardstown from Tom Bull

WOW. Followers of this column will be in clover after all four of my bankers floored the bookies yesterday!

I'm back for more on Friday and have sharpened my tipping sword for some cracking action that takes place in both England and Ireland.

Lingfield

1.15 Rydan – Was a very impressive winner at Kempton last time out and only has to carry a 5lb rise in what looks a weaker race.

He was rated much higher than this in the past and still looks well-handicapped so can be given a big chance under all-weather king Adam Kirby.

He wouldn't want it to become tactical but there are a couple of front-runners and that should be enough to see him get the pace he needs.

Catterick

1.00 Chasing Headlights – Ran a blinder last time behind a horse who has gone on to win again in easy fashion.

That was over hurdles and he earned himself a 4lb rise. However, he's 1lb lower over fences and could prove to be well-handicapped.

He's the only one in this field coming into the race in form and has a big shout from the bottom of the weights in the cheekpieces that have worked so well recently.

Leicester

3.40 By Rail – This is quite a trappy three-runner race but the four-year-old should get a tactical advantage as he loves to go from the front.

He was a good winner last time out and this slight drop back in trip should be ideal.

He gets a 5lb allowance from the five-year-olds and that can prove decisive.

1.00 Catterick – Chasing Headlights

1.15 Lingfield – Rydan

1.20 Leopardstown – Gun Digger

3.40 Leicester – By Rail

Leopardstown

1.20 Gun Digger – Gordon Elliott's six-year-old will be hard to beat if keeping his level of consistency.

He's produced two nice performances over fences, last time finishing a good second to a smart one of Henry De Bromhead's.

The main danger here is Bacardys, but he's been woefully out of form recently and will struggle if Gun Digger is on form.
