Ex-Man Utd coach Chris Armas to team up with fellow American Jesse Marsch at Leeds after horror spell with Ralf Rangnick | The Sun

EX-MANCHESTER UNITED coach Chris Armas is set to join Jesse Marsch’s backroom team at Leeds.

Leeds lost Mark Jackson to MK Dons earlier this season and have been on the lookout for a new assistant coach since.

According to the Daily Mail, Leeds boss Jesse Marsch could link-up with fellow American Armas.

The report states that a deal has been agreed and Armas has arrived in England to take the post, pending visa approval.

The 50-year-old has managerial experience in the MLS.

Armas managed New York Red Bulls and Toronto FC.

But he is coming off the back of a horror spell under Ralf Rangnick at Man Utd.

Rangnick joined the Red Devils in late 2021 as interim manager after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was sacked.

But Rangnick failed to guide the Old Trafford club to a top-four finish.

The Austrian was then meant to move into a role behind the scenes, supporting the then newly appointed Erik ten Hag for the 2022-23 season.
