The second day of the 2023 Grand National Festival is set to get underway this afternoon.

Over the three days of action, there will be 21 races that will take place in total, with many looking ahead to the Grand National on Saturday. 

Day one saw Superstar Constitution Hill earn a comfortable win in the Aintree Hurdle, with the 2-15 favourite leading from start to finish.

Last year, 50-1 price, Noble Yeats, sealed a stunning Grand National win, edging favourite Any Second Now and Delta Work.

What is the Grand National Festival schedule on Day Two?

The second day of the Grand National Festival will take place this afternoon.

The first race is set to get underway at 1.45pm with the Air Charter Services Mildmay Novices’ Steeple Chase.

In total, there will be seven races that will take place on day two of the Grand National Festival.

    • 2.20pm – William Hill Handicap Hurdle – ITV 1

    How to watch today’s action?

    This year’s Grand National Festival will be shown live on ITV 1, with coverage getting underway at 2pm each day.

    Fans will also be able to stream the action on the ITVX app.

    Horse racing fans will also be able to catch the action live on Racing TV and on a bookies’ live stream service.

    As ever, the Grand National Festival will take place at the Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool

    When is the Marsh Chase?

    The biggest race of the festival is the Grand National, which takes place on Saturday.

    However, it is fair to say that there are still a few big races in the build-up to the final day.

    Today, arguably the highlight of the day is the Marsh Melling Chase.

    The Marsh Melling Chase is the fourth race of the day and is set to get underway at 3.30pm.

    Throughout the day, fans can expect a mixture of sunny spells and scattered showers, according to the Met Office.

    The Met Office predict rain throughout the start of the afternoon, but should clear towards the end of the day. 

    The maximum temperature for today is expected to be 12 °C. 

    Fans can expect a cloudy start with showers, but should brighten up in the afternoon
