Breathtaking forest walks with the family, fresh Alpine air, an exclusive golf course just up the road and most of his new Bayern Munich team-mates right next door.

It’s little wonder Harry Kane’s wife Kate has been scouting out properties in the Bavarian millionaire’s enclave of Grünwald with the England star potentially about to complete a sensational £95million move to Germany’s top club.

The sleepy, secluded town, known as the ‘Bavarian Hollywood’ and ranked as Germany’s wealthiest municipality, looks the perfect place for the Kanes and their young family to settle down.

Kate, who is pregnant with the couple’s fourth child, viewed houses in the area last month in anticipation of her husband’s mega transfer going through, according to German newspaper Bild.

Now there has been a major breakthrough after Kane’s club Tottenham accepted an offer in excess of £95m from serial German champions Bayern for the prolific goalscorer.

It could see the Kane family swap their £1m-a-year rented pad in Hampstead for a stunning villa with lush landscaped gardens.

Grünwald properties currently up for sale on the Riedel estate agents website include a Bauhaus villa boasting a home cinema, sauna, jacuzzi, outdoor and indoor swimming pools and huge gardens available for £7.6m.

A six-bedroom villa featuring open fireplaces, indoor pool, sauna, spa and home gym, renovated just over a decade ago, is on the market for £5.5m.

A glance at recently-sold homes shows architecture inspired by Alpine chalets, expanses of green lawns, high hedges to keep out snoopers, tennis courts and pools.

There are then the whimsical designs of the Meleven development, listed at £18m. Described as ‘art lovers’ homes’, they feature wooden beams, floor-to-ceiling glass and rounded curves set in aces of plush gardens.

The website says it ‘combines space and form, light and colour, drama and charm, sensation and intimacy, as well as art and nature, in an extraordinary way.’

Properties in Grünwald don’t come cheap but reports suggest Bayern have already sorted somewhere for Kane and his family to live should he decide to make the move.

The town, whose name is German for ‘green forest, is located 12km southwest of central Munich and favoured by many Bayern players because it is only a 10-15 minute drive from the club’s training ground at Säbener Straße.

Kane might well be able to car-share because Bayern players Leroy Sane, Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting, Alphonso Davies, Matthijs de Ligt, Benjamin Pavard and Sven Ulrich already live there.

According to Bild, Leon Goretzka also moved there recently, while Joshua Kimmich is currently building his own place in the posh suburb.

Lavish villas in the area come with lots of space and amenities, with some costing an upwards of £6.9m (€8m)

Many football stars who leave Bayern like the area so much they keep hold of their properties there – Franck Ribery, David Alaba and Rafinha being three examples.

Not only that, but prominent members of Bayern’s club hierarchy, including supervisory board executive and club legend Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, and former CEO Oliver Kahn, live in the area.

They enjoy the peace and privacy away from the pressures of playing for one of the world’s most famous clubs – though not everyone has the best of luck.

Former Bayern defender Jerome Boateng has been trying to sell his luxury Grünwald home – which boasts 10 bedrooms, heated pool and wine cellar – for over a year.

Bild say Boateng wants almost £10m for a property he bought for £6.4m in 2016 but the sale is being scuppered by a large construction project next door.

A neighbour said ‘nobody will pay that much with the terrible dust and noise… I feel sorry for Mr Boateng.’

But that’s a rare breach of the peace in the leafy neighbourhood on the banks of the Isar River.

Nearby is the Bavaria film studios, hence the ‘Hollywood’ nickname, and this has made the town a magnet for film stars and directors for many decades.

The Isarauen, foothills of the Alps, offer a range of outdoor activities, likewise the forests just outside the town.

Kane is a keen golfer and plays off scratch, so a membership at the exclusive Munchener Golf Club nearby is surely a must.

The club’s website says it is ‘one of the most traditional and renowned golf clubs in Germany’.

Kane might also consider a membership at Golfclub München Eichenried, the championship course that hosts the annual BMW International Open.

Would-be team-mate Thomas Muller knows the course well – he featured in the Pro-Am tournament on the course ahead of the Open this year, alongside former Real Madrid star Gareth Bale.

A regular haunt for a number of Bayern players, H’ugo’s specialises in truffle pizza and pasta

Should Kane’s children wish to follow in his footsteps by playing football, German legend Lothar Matthaus coaches the youth teams at local club TSV Grünwald.

Dining options include the Michelin guide-listed Asian restaurant Chang, which offers pick ‘n’ mix sushi and £450 portions of caviar and a £40 ribeye. It’s a place very popular with Bayern stars past and present.

H’ugo’s offers pizzas, while more traditional Bavarian dishes such as pork knuckle and schnitzel can be found at Alter Wirt and Forsthaus Wornbrunn.

And it seems the chances of bumping into Bayern team-mates while out in town are very high indeed.
