Luca Brecel splashes out on stunning £350,000 Ferrari after incredible World Snooker Championship triumph | The Sun

SNOOKER world champion Luca Brecel has splashed out on a stunning £350,000 Ferrari.

Brecel sensationally won the World Snooker Championship at the Crucible to claim his first world title and the cheque for £500,000.

The Belgian slayed seven-time winner Ronnie O'Sullivan on route to the final, where he beat Mark Selby 18-15 despite some unorthodox preparation before the tournament.

But now the 28-year-old has treated himself to a Ferrari488 – worth £350,000 – following his victory.

Taking to his Instagram page, Brecel shared an image of the car and its dazzling red paintwork.

He captioned the post: "My new four-wheeler – and for someone who works in café sport! 😂"

Indeed, Brecel has deleted all of his previous Instagram posts except for the Ferrari and his title win.

The prize pool for the Sheffield tournament is said to be a whopping £2.4million, with a cool £500,000 slice of the pie going to the winner.

Following his triumph, Brecel admitted he would be partying hard – but made sure to send a classy message to Selby amid health concerns for his wife Vikki.

He said: "It is amazing. I cannot see through the tears.

"Mark made it so tough, he is the worst opponent to have, he just keeps coming back. He is such a fighter. I don't know how I did.

"Snooker is a mental sport. I could have lost in the first round. If I had, people would have said again, 'he has lost first round'. Now I am the winner. Snooker is all about the small margins. It is crazy.

"I have the best team, best friends, parents and girlfriend. If you don't have the team it makes it difficult to play the game.

"I won't practice for a couple of weeks and months. I will enjoy this. It has been a cray week. No practice, just partying. It shouldn't be legal.

"I want to say to Mark and Vikki: Please stay strong.

"It will now explode in Belgium snooker. I am just so happy."
