Man City confirm Ilkay Gundogan's exit and his next club as Treble winner leaves on high after glittering seven years | The Sun

ILKAY GUNDOGAN has officially left Manchester City with his move to Barcelona confirmed.

The Treble-winning City hero exits the club after seven years in Manchester, having signed from Borussia Dortmund in 2016.

Gundogan is one of four leaving the Premier League and European champions for free after seeing out his contract.

Terrell Agyemang, Rowan McDonald and Benjamin Mendy are also on the list departures.

City captain Gundogan said: “For me it has been a total privilege and pleasure to be part of Manchester City for the last seven years.

“Manchester has been my home and I have felt part of a very special family at City.

Gundogan, 32, was linked with a move to Arsenal but Spanish kings Barca have pipped them to the German international.

The midfielder has agreed a two-year deal at the Nou Camp with the option of a further 12 months and a massive £340MILLION release clause.
