    ANDREAS EXIT

Manchester United midfielder Andreas Pereira is close to agreeing a move to Brazilian side Flamengo.

That’s according to Globo Esporte, who claim United have sent “positive signals” regarding a one year loan deal.

The 25-year-old has been linked with a permanent move away from Old Trafford, with Lazio said to be interested in bringing him back to the Serie A after a loan spell last season.

Everton and Fenerbahce were also interested, but the player is said to prefer a move to Brazil.

    PREM DIG

Bayern Munich manager Julien Nagalsmann has slammed Premier League clubs for their spending this window.

It follows Jack Grealish’s £100million move to Manchester City and Romelu Lukaku’s £97.5million move to Chelsea.

Meanwhile Manchester United have spent £73million on Jadon Sancho and an initial £34million on Raphael Varane that could rise to £42million with add-ons.

Arsenal have also spent a combined £78million on Ben White, Albert Sambi Lokonga and Nuno Tavares.

And Nagelsmann has aimed a dig at Premier League clubs for their spending in what was supposed to be a low-key window following financial difficulties due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

When asked whether Bayern would make any more signings, he said: “It is not easy to spend loads of money, we are not in the Premier League.

“If it is possible then, perhaps, we will get in a new player. If not, it’s okay as well and we will work with the players that we have in our squad.”

    GOOD MORNING UNITED FANS

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer must win a trophy at Manchester United this season according to former left-back Mikael Silvestre.

He told MyBettingSites: "Solskjær must win a trophy this season and he’ll be aware of that.

"For the players, the manager and for the club. It is in the DNA of Manchester United."

Manchester United have also been handed a boost in their pursuit of Leon Goretzka, with Bayern Munich president Herbert Hainer saying they won’t pay over the odds to secure his future.

The 26-year-old is into the final year of his contract with the German giants and has been linked with a move to Old Trafford, with United on the lookout for a midfielder.

German outlet Bild report that United have offered the midfielder a £200,000-a-week deal for him to join the club when his contract expires next year.

Manchester United winger Amad Diallo has a '90 per cent' chance of leaving Old Trafford on loan, according to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano.

The 19-year-old is attracting interest from Crystal Palace and Swiss club Basel, as well as teams in the Bundesliga.

And with the arrival of Jadon Sancho set to limit Diallo’s game time, a loan move seems inevitable to further his development.

Finally United legend Gary Neville has said Jesse Lingard needs to leave the club, with West Ham linked with a £20million move for the 28-year-old.

Neville told Sky Sports that Lingard should move to a club where he would be the main man, rather than stay at United and 'play 15 games'.

    DIALL-OAN

Manchester United winger Amad Diallo has a ’90 per cent’ chance of leaving Old Trafford on loan.

That’s according to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, who told The United Stand: “Basel, in particular, are really insisting but I think the player wants to try something in different countries, in different leagues.

“Maybe in the Premier League or maybe even the Bundesliga as German clubs are trying for Amad.

“It’s really an open situation, he is not in a rush to decide. He will go on loan, it’s 90 per cent he will go on loan, it’s not clear just yet which club he wants to join.”

The 19-year-old joined up with the Red Devils at the start of this year following his £37million move from Serie A side Atalanta.

He’s played eight games for United since then, scoring once and providing one assist.

    ‘JESSE NEEDS TO LEAVE’

Gary Neville believes Jesse Lingard should leave Manchester United in order to be the star of the show at another club.

The 28-year-old scored for the Red Devils today in a behind closed doors friendly against Burnley, which Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side won 3-1.

It's the first time Lingard has played for United since returning from a positive Covid-19 test.

Lingard has found minutes difficult to come by ever since Bruno Fernandes’ arrival in January 2020 and as a result spent the latter half of last season on loan at West Ham.

He told Sky Sports’ The Overlap: “Jesse needs to leave for Jesse.

“He got pride last year playing at West Ham. He’s the man there and he’ll come back here [Manchester United] and play 15 games, and be a good squad player, but he doesn’t want that again surely after what he experienced last season.”

    LEON LATEST

Manchester United have been handed a boost in their pursuit of Bayern Munich midfielder Leon Goretzka.

The 26-year-old is in the final year of his contract with Bayern, but it's unsure whether he'll put pen to paper on a new deal.

That's after the Express reported that Bayern Munich president Herbert Hainer said they won’t pay over the odds to secure his future.

And German outlet Bild report that United have offered the midfielder a £200,000 per-week deal should he leave Bayern on a free transfer nect summer.

    RED-DY FOR SUCCESS

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer must win a trophy at Manchester United this season considering their summer signings.

That is the view of former United left-back Mikael Silvestre who has heaped pressure on the Norwegian.

He told MyBettingSites: "Solskjaer must win a trophy this season and he'll be aware of that.

"For the players, the manager and for the club. It is in the DNA of Manchester United.

"They were so close last season with the Europa League and I’m sure they’ll use that as extra motivation this year to push them over the line.

"The team has all the ingredients to win trophies and be successful, but it’s about turning up on the day and finishing the job."

    VAR VA VOOM

Anthony Martial is confident Raphael Varane will bring success to Old Trafford.

The 25-year-old has welcomed the arrival of his fellow Frenchman to Manchester, telling manutd.com:

    "Varane is a big-time player.

"I don't think he [Varane] will need too much time to adapt to his new environment, but I'm there for him for whatever little help or advice he may need.

"He has all his experience, – he's a player who has won a lot during the time of his career at Real Madrid and also in the French national team, so I am sure he will bring all his powers, as he really is a top player and I know things are going to go well for him here at United."

    MOST VALUABLE CLUBS

Manchester United are the fourth most valuable club in the world, according to Transfermarkt.

The Red Devils have been bolstered by Raphael Varane and Jadon Sancho's arrivals this summer, and are valued at £835.4m.

Premier League clubs make up four out of the top five most valuable clubs in the world, with United's cross-city rivals Manchester City taking top spot.

That's largely thanks to the £100million paid by City for Jack Grealish this transfer window.

    SILVESTRE CALLS FOR SILVERWARE

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer must win a trophy at Manchester United this season considering their summer signings.

That is the view of former United left-back Mikael Silvestre, who has heaped pressure on the Norwegian.

"If they can have a season where they don’t suffer many injuries and can keep the team fit, then they can give it a good go."

Manchester United are said to be one of a number of clubs interested in FC Metz midfielder Pape Matar Sarr.

That's according to Football Insider, with the 18-year-old said to be rated at around £28million.

Chelsea and Real Madrid are also keen on the signature of the one-cap Senegal man, with Sarr scoring four goals in 27 Ligue 1 games from defensive midfield for Metz last season.

United and Chelsea are willing to loan Sarr back to Metz for the upcoming season to help his development, with the youngster highly rated among Europe's top clubs.

    SOLSKJAER SIGNINGS

Will Ole Gunnar Solskjaer add to these names that he has signed so far in his two-and-a-half year tenure at Old Trafford?

Ferdinand believes there are two “perfect” options to join this month before the window shuts – Saul Niguez and Declan Rice.

The Red Devils are said to be keen on adding a centre-midfielder to their ranks, with Paul Pogba's contract set to end at the conclusion of the season.

    SUPER SANCHO

Jadon Sancho has been hailed an 'absolute legend' after he spent half an hour signing shirts and taking pictures with fans.

Footage emerged of the new Red Devils signing engaging with United supporters after he came off the bench to make his debut during Saturday's 5-1 win over Leeds at Old Trafford.

Sancho, 21, played the last 15 minutes and was given a warm welcome by Reds fans in the stadium.

And after the game he was happy to make another good first impression with supporters of his new team.

He was filmed in United kit and a mask surrounded by fans where he posed for pictures, signed shirts and had brief chats.

Martial FC uploaded one video on Twitter and wrote: "Jadon Sancho spent 25-30 mins taking pictures and signing people’s shirts after the game.

"The only player to do so, what an absolute legend."

    FAVOURABLE FIXTURES

Here's a look at Manchester United's next five Premier League fixtures.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side don't face any of the 'Big Six' in their next five, or until October 24 for that matter.

With a favourable run up until that point, the Red Devils will be confident of setting the early running in the 2021/22 title race.

    CANARIES CLOSE IN

Norwich are in advanced talks to sign Brandon Williams on loan from Manchester United, according to Sky Sports.

The Canaries are hopeful of winning the race for the full-back over other interested clubs – but a move is unlikely to be concluded this week.

Williams has also been a long-term target for Southampton and Newcastle, but United have been reluctant to loan Williams out in previous windows.

Daniel Farke's side have one slot left for a Premier League loanee, and Williams is the man they want to fill it.

The 20-year-old has played 50 games for the Red Devils, but was an unused substitute in Saturday's 5-1 thrashing against Leeds.

    'HE'S STOOD STILL'

Ex-professional Tim Sherwood has criticised Marcus Rashford and urged Mason Greenwood not to go down the same path of development.

When asked about Greenwood, Sherwood told Premier League Productions: "I think he will play enough this season because they will go deep in a number of competitions.

"I think he will play enough this season because they will go deep in a number of competitions.

"Mason needs to look at his mate, Marcus Rashford, and see how he’s developed. Not in a detrimental way towards Marcus but I think he’s stood still.

"Mason has got to look at that and think he needs to improve and continue.

"Marcus is a very good player but I think he was a very good player when he had the same experience as Greenwood. He needs to improve from that because he’s not at his ceiling yet."

The Hammers have had one bid for Lingard already turned down but are preparing a second firm offer in the hopes of securing a deal before the end of the transfer window on August 31 – with United’s asking price said to have dropped to around £20 million.

That's reduced from an earlier asking price of around £25million, according to reports.

    PHIL-ING IN

Phil Jones has played for Manchester United for the first time in 19 months.

It is the centre-back's first appearance since he scored in a 6-1 FA Cup win at Tranmere back in January of last year.

He came on in a behind closed doors 3-1 friendly win against Burnley at Old Trafford this afternoon.

Jones has been plagued with injury problems months and had to have knee surgery last summer but returned to training last week.

He is still contracted to the club until 2023 and manager Ole Solskjaer has not ruled out playing the centre-back in a competitive first-team again.

    BARGAIN HUNTERS

Real Madrid are reportedly plotting a huge rebuild with a host of stunning free transfer signings, including Paul Pogba.

The Galacticos are feeling the pinch following the coronavirus pandemic and have been forced to cut costs.

According to Spanish publication AS, Real want Kylian Mbappe, Antonio Rudiger and United transfer target Leon Goretzka, as well as Pogba.

And despite the Frenchman's stunning start to the season in the 5-1 thumping of Leeds, tensions between the club and his agent Mino Raiola remain high, and talks over an extension appear to have cooled for now.

    JADON STARTS

Jadon Sancho started in a heavily-rotated forward line as Manchester United took on Burnley in a behind-closed-doors friendly at Old Trafford on Tuesday.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer deployed his £73million summer signing on the left wing, with Juan Mata on the other flank and Jesse Lingard in the No.10 role behind centre-forward Anthony Martial.

Goalkeeper Tom Heaton – who arrived on a free transfer from Aston Villa in July – was handed the gloves, while Harry Maguire started three days after skippering the Red Devils to a 5-1 victory over Leeds United in the Premier League.

Eric Bailly partnered Maguire in central defence, and Diogo Dalot and Brandon Williams were given the nod in the full-back roles.

Solskjaer turned to Donny van de Beek and Nemanja Matic to form his double-pivot in central midfield.

Raphael Varane was unveiled as a United player over the weekend and was presented in front of the Old Trafford faithful, but he played no part in the friendly against the Clarets.
