Willie O’Connor gave Thai darts ace Thanawat Gaweenuntawong a death stare after he backed into him on stage.
O’Connor, representing the Republic of Ireland alongside Keane Barry at the World Cup of Darts, was left angry with the Thai star who accidentally backed into him at the oche.
Gaweenuntawong, 56, made his World Cup of Darts debut back in 2014 and remains as one of Thailand’s tournament duo alongside Attapol Eupakaree.
But Gaweenuntawong left an unwanted mark on the number 37 rank and 2022 UK Open semi-finalist.

With Thailand trailing 2-1 in the first to four format, Gaweenuntawong was under pressure to take out 80 and level the score with Ireland and O’Connor waiting in the wings needed to checkout just 24 to double their advantage.
Gaweenuntawong’s first dart landed in the single 5 leaving 75, the Thai found the outer bull before stepping back to compose himself before throwing for the bull and the leg but bumped into O’Connor.

O’Connor, who was looking down at his darts at the time, shook his head before even looking up at Gaweenuntawong, who missed the bull via a deflection from his second dart.
As Gaweenuntawong retrieved his darts, O’Connor hung back away from the oche to eyeball the Thai who didn’t look up at the Magpie. O'Connor then shook his head like a disgusted school headmaster.
O’Connor was able to hold his nerves and nailed D12 with his first dart to move Ireland to within one leg of victory which they wrapped up the following leg.
After walking back from the oche, O’Connor fist-bumped Barry whilst Gaweenuntawong remained well out of his way, having a drink on the other side of the stage and not once looking back towards O’Connor.
Darts fans on social media saw the funny side of the incident. One said: "This is what the World Cup is about." While another wrote: "Gotta love William O'Connor." As a third said: "Darts is a contact sport now. It’s a new era."
Ireland will face Croatia in their second and final group game Friday evening.
