ROY KEANE fumed "who the f*** buys that?" after one of David Beckham's more lavish purchases.
The duo starred for Manchester United together for a decade between 1993 and 2003.
Becks was renowned for enjoying the finer things in life, and never shied away from buying fancy cars and clothes.
While his more reserved team-mate could understand these purchases, it was a watch that truly baffled Keane.
Appearing on Beckham's new Netflix documentary, the Irishman, 52, said of his old team-mate's spending: "He was the first to do it.
"He certainly upped everyone’s game in the car park, I’ll give him that.

"He bought a fancy pen. I was like ‘who the f*** buys a pen? Who buys an expensive pen?’
"Shirts and clothes and all that I get, but who buys a pen?"
Addressing the subject, Beckham explained: "I spent my money. I liked nice stuff. As soon as we got money, I wanted to buy a nice watch.
"I signed a contract with Adidas for £50,000 – and I went and bought an M3 for £50,000."

As he progressed on the pitch, Beckham's star power and celebrity continued to grow off it.
His former boss Sir Alex Ferguson has admitted that the hysteria around his No7 made him more difficult to manage.
The Scot, 81, said: "He changed. There is no doubt about that.
"That sort of media attention he was getting, becoming a celebrity, was different to what I wanted.
"Getting David to keep his feet on the ground became more different.
"He was a good looking boy and he was well cut, so it was a great attraction for the media."
While some of his team-mates wanted to save their cash, Beckham was keen on going out and spending.
Former team-mate Phil Neville revealed: "David used to get his salary on a Friday, spend it all by Saturday and then spend the next five days waiting for the next salary to get the jeans to match.
