Tottenham ‘consider Man Utd and Chelsea transfer target to replace Harry Kane should England captain join Bayern Munich’ | The Sun

TOTTENHAM are interested in Gent striker Gift Orban, according to reports.

The 21-year-old has impressed since moving to Belgium in January.

Orban has attracted interest from Manchester United and Chelsea.

According to Belgian outlet Het Nieuwsblad, Spurs may make a move for the Nigerian ace.

The North Londoners could lose record goalscorer Harry Kane this month.

Bayern chiefs travelled to London on Monday for talks with Spurs chairman Daniel Levy regarding Kane.

The two clubs are still believed to be some way apart in their valuations, with the Germans' most recent offer reportedly worth around £82million.

Kane, 30, has one year remaining on his Tottenham contract.

The Standard claim that the forward will choose to stay for the final year of his contract, should no deal be agreed with Bayern prior to Spurs' opening day clash with Brentford next week.

Kane has also not ruled out signing a new deal at Tottenham, should they show signs of promise under Ange Postecoglou.

Bayern remain confident in landing their main target in what would be a club-record deal.

Orban, meanwhile, has impressed since moving to European football.

He initially joined Norwegian side Staebaek, netting 19 goals in 24 appearances.

This form earned him a move to Belgium, where he immediately hit the ground running.

The forward has scored 22 goals in 24 games for Gent, including two in two so far this season.

He has been strongly linked with a move to Lille, should Jonathan David depart.

Should Kane leave and Spurs recruit Orban, he could compete with current No9 Richarlison for a starting berth.

Ange Postecoglou will also still have Son Heung-min at his disposal to play up top with them.
