Tottenham sporting director Fabio Paratici 'wants Nuno Espirito Santo as manager but board split over next boss'

TOTTENHAM sporting director Fabio Paratici wants to appoint Nuno Espirito Santo as the club's new boss, according to reports.

But the rest of the Spurs board prefer other targets.

The North Londoners' managerial hunt took a fresh twist this week, after moves for Paulo Fonseca AND Gennaro Gattuso fell through.

Paratici, 48, was appointed last week, tasked with finding Spurs a new manager.

Julian Nagelsmann, Brendan Rodgers, Hansi Flick and Antonio Conte have all snubbed interest from Tottenham.

Nuno departed Wolves by mutual consent last month, and recently turned down interest from Crystal Palace.

The Portuguese, 47, is also a top contender for the vacant post at Everton.

But according to talkSPORT, Paratici wants to beat the Toffees to his signature.

Other Spurs board members, however, prefer different candidates.

Some reportedly still believe that they can lure former boss Mauricio Pochettino back from PSG.
