A Place in the Sun's Jonnie Irwin baffled by couple's VERY strange complaint during bungalow tour

A PLACE in the Sun’s Jonnie Irwin was left stunned after a couple looking for a holiday home complained that one of the properties was too "holiday-like".

Presenter Jonnie was given the task of finding couple Terry and Ken their dream holiday home for Tuesday’s episode of the Channel 4 property show.

Viewers were whisked away to Tenerife, in the south of the island – but the sun-seeking couple proved hard to please.

Armed with a maximum budget of £150,000, Jonnie knew he had a challenge on his hands, but still managed to find some properties that ticked almost all their boxes.

The second property toured by the trio was a two-bed bungalow in Golf del Sur.

The home boasted four communal pools, a private patio, a garden and a solarium.

Valued at £148,305, Jonnie thought the ideal property would tick all of Terry and Jen's boxes.

Showing the couple to the balcony, Jonnie commented: "So, an evening meal out here, or breakfast?"

Jen, unhappy with the look of the property, replied: "It's great, but as Terry said, it still feels a little bit holiday complex – which it is."

Turning to the camera, a bewildered Jonnie remarked: "It's funny. They're after a holiday home, but this complex feels a bit too holiday-ish for them."

The next property was a three-bed townhouse in Los Abrigos.

Valued at £161,016, it seemed to catch the couple's attention.

When the three met up again to discuss their options, Jen told Jonnie that the penthouse home – the third viewing – was their favourite.
