Alison Hammond tipped for SAS: Who Dares Wins after saying ‘sign me up’

On today's episode (April 8) of This Morning, Alison Hammond said she would take part in SAS: Who Dares wins as she jokingly said: "Sign me up babes."

Speaking to the SAS instructors Jason Fox and Mark "Billy" Billingham, Alison said that she "can't wait" to watch the latest series to which Mark replied: "Can't wait to get you on it."

Alison told the instructor "don't be silly" before saying: "Mentally I'd be all over it but physically I'd struggle without a doubt."

Decorated SAS leader Mark then revealed that 70% of the show is mental so Alison would be fine in taking part.

The popular TV host then jokingly replied: "Sign me up babes."

Fans were straight on Twitter to express their delight at Alison being a potential contestant on the show.

One user said: "Yes get Alison on the celeb version."

A second wrote: "I wonder what Alison's nickname would be?"

Moments earlier in the segment, Alison put forward Dermot to take part in the celebrity version and told him: "I think you'd be really good at this."

Dermot didn't seem thrilled at the prospect and after finding out the contestants get "absolutely malleted", the former X Factor host hilariously said: "I might give it a swerve Al I've got to be honest."

Fans on Twitter agreed with Dermot, with one saying: "Bless you Alison but Dermot on SAS is a straight nope."

Speaking about the gruelling Channel 4 show, they revealed that just a few years ago they had no women, but now the instructors can't imagine not having them.

Army hero Mark explained that it's always "an even play" and they "don't look at gender".

The instructors then revealed that no matter who is on the show, they want everyone to have "an amazing experience".

This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV
