Celebrity Antiques Road Trip line-up confirmed as Rachel Riley, Danny Dyer and Eamonn Holmes join show

TV STARS are pairing up for the new season of Celebrity Antiques Road Trip.

Produced by STV Studios, antique and showbiz lovers can rejoice as both worlds collide with a group of celebrities travelling the UK to find hidden treasure and compete at auction.

The BBC Two show brings with it a combination of famous friends, couples and family members competing to take home the most cash.

The line-up will include EastEnders’ actor Danny Dyer and his daughter and Love Island winner Dani Dyer, broadcaster Eammon Holmes and Victoria Smurfit and Countdown’s Rachel Riley and her partner and former Strictly Come Dancing professional Pasha Kovalev.

Other contestants include Martin and Shirlie Kemp, supermodel Jerry Hall, BBC news broadcast Clive Myrie, siblings AJ and Curtis Pritchard, Sky sports presenter Chris Kamara and Jeff Sterling.

Reminiscing on her childhood, Rachel said: “Going back to my old stomping ground in Essex, the antiques areas I used to visit with my Grandad, was nostalgic in more ways than one.”

She continued: “Pasha and I enjoyed the friendly rivalry doing something out of both of our realms of experience, and we were happily still on good terms afterwards!”

This 20-episode season will act as an antique roadmap around the UK.

"Antiquing while driving around the beautiful English countryside in a fabulous sports car – what’s not to like? It was such a hoot!”, Clive said.

He added: "Us news folks are a competitive bunch, and blimey, you need sharp elbows on this show! We had so much fun out on the road."

Auctioneer Tim Wonnacott who has narrated the main show and the celebrity spin-off since it began in 2010, will be lending a hand to the celebrities.

The cast will also have guidance from antique experts Serhat Ahmet, Angus Ashworth, Izzie Balmer, Raj Bisram and James Braxton.

A tease of antiques found in the upcoming season to spark your interest include an 18th-century plate that spent over 100 years on the seabed, a forces sledge from the Second World War and an anatomical cross-section of an udder.

The new season kicks off on Tuesday 2 November.
