Coronation Street fans issued Roy Cropper a stern warning as they believed he could be severely hurt by murderer Corey Brent or Abi Franklin.

Roy was is in disarray on Wednesday night's episode when he realised that his niece Nina Lucas was missing.

But due to the fact that Roy was informed that a gun was in Abi's possession, he knew that something could be wrong and took it upon himself to find out what was going on.

Although Roy appeared to be courageous, Corrie viewers were left feeling rather nervous.

Taking to Twitter, fans shared their concerns for Roy.

One person wrote: "ROY BE CAREFUL."

Another said: "If anything happens to Roy, we riot."

A third worried viewer chimed: "If Roy gets shot by mistake I will sue the producers of Corrie."

"Roy is the best he better not die or Corrie won’t hear the end of it," a fourth added.

Despite the roaring concerns, other Corrie fans were less anxious about the café owner's fate and believed he may do something rather unexpected.

"Next up on #Corrie, Roy pulls a machine gun from his bag and shoots everyone dead," one fan said.

Meanwhile another penned: "Is tonight's the night we finally find out what is in Roy Cropper's bag that he mostly have in person?, Possibly, he'll produce a rope to get Abby out of the sink-hole."

Another viewer joked: "Who needs Batman? Roy's the hero Weatherfield both needs AND deserves!"
