Channel 4 axes competition series with celebrity host amid string of cost-saving cuts | The Sun

CHANNEL 4 has axed a celebrity host's competition series as their cost-saving cuts continue.

The broadcaster has shelved Sandi Toksvig's home improvement programme The Great Big Tiny Design Challenge after just one series.

Sandi, who previously presented The Great British Bake Off, fronted the series on Channel 4's digital channel More4.

It saw designers tasked with renovating a derelict mansion over the course of eight episodes.

However, there was a big catch – participants actually revamped a doll-sized house that was inspired by real-world designs.

TVZone report bosses at the cash-strapped channel have decided not to bring the show back.
