Next week’s episodes of Coronation Street will see Peter return from Scotland and claim he hasn’t drank a drop of alcohol.

But he’s gutted when his doctor tells him there’s no improvement in his liver function.

When he arrives home, Daniel Osbourne announces that he’s prepared to be Peter’s liver donor if he’s a match to thank him for being supportive when Sinead died.

But Peter doesn’t feel he’s worthy of a transplant and rushes to the solicitors and tells Adam to draw up an ‘Advance Decision to Refuse Treatment’ declaration.

Later, Ken begs Peter not to throw his life away by refusing Daniel’s help, but Peter is furious with Adam for telling Ken about the document.

Adam worries about Peter and confides in Carla, who then catches Peter drinking in the pub.

At breaking point, Carla pleads with Peter to stop self-sabotaging and consider Daniel’s offer.

But Peter steals a bottle of whisky from the bar and knocks it back in front of Carla.

Jenny then kicks Peter out and Ken tells him he can move back in if he vows to stop drinking, but Peter turns his dad down and storms out.

Viewers will then see Peter slump against a wall in the ginnel as he finishes off the bottle.

Steve later finds Peter unconscious and drags him back to Ken’s, where Dr Gaddas explains that he’s suffering from hypothermia.

Ken is horrified when Peter refuses to take the doctor’s advice and heads out again.

Will Peter meet end up digging his own grave?

Viewers will have to tune in to find out.
